You probably should have at least some reading score if you're going through threads and reading through a few posts/pages. Just browsing randomly today I got a couple dozen score. I think you do actually have to scroll through the thread a bit, just clicking the links into new tabs and firing through them is probably not counted.

Unless maybe there's something bugged out?
