From what I understand from discord the coin system and ranks are being redone.

It's nothing new and the recent problems have pushed back implementation.

1. Ranks are being renamed and probably new icons.
2. One new Rank will only be for those who donate.
3, If you have the ranks already you don't have to re-buy they will be converted to new ones.
4. Coin prices might be changed by lowering or rising prices.
5. Introducing the new Pulse coin.

So nothing is being paywalled.

I'm not on the discord but from everything I've seen said here it's been pretty clear to me that they're just re-balancing and resetting the coin economy but keeping the same basic concept so that's all in line with my expectations
