Andouille sausage on a pizza is terrific, that's the kind I thought you meant with the chorizo comment. Or the Italian link or ground sausage is great.
All the chain restaurant stuff is cheap crap, not just pizza. Capitalism, baby. Lower quality means lower cost means higher profit.
I worked at a mom and pop pizza store, but even some of their ingredients were very low quality. The sauce came in 5 gallon buckets

I like the pepperoni that curls!
Like little grease cups gushers!

I use Andouille for jambalaya and gumbo - never tried it on pizza. A quality hard chorizo (or fresh, for that matter) would taste fine on pizza, but I usually just eat the cured stuff as-is, and like the fresh with eggs/breakfast tacos.

More than two decades at the exec level in the hospitality industry, so I know what kind of stuff gets bought. For higher end restaurants, the ingredients are also top shelf; for many chain places, yeah, lower quality provides higher profits, but I know from experience that most of the meats are of equal or higher quality than you get at the typical supermarket, and definitely better than "big box" like Sam's and Costco - though some mom & pops will get their stuff from those places as well. Was good friends with the VP of supply chain at my last corporate gig - had to know everything they did to do my job right - and saw the vetting process for new items. It was a combination of taste, availability, consistency, and cost-to-quality. If you could spend just slightly more for a big jump in quality, we did it, but often the premium for the theoretically higher quality item (frequently, it was just a brand name versus generic made in the same plant) didn't really give you much bang for the extra bucks.

That 5 gallon bucket of sauce, while not what I'd use, is also of a higher quality than most of the stuff you see at the grocery store - even the "premium" sauces are only premium because they got some celebrity to endorse them.

And, yes, there is something a little bit nostalgic and fun about that cheap-ass pepperoni. It was crunchy and greasy and, if you'd been drinking, sort of hit the spot.

i own all those board games+ the game of life

I have a game called take off. You have to fly around the world. Also educational. Because if you get a take off card you have to fly to the capital or a major city in some country and all you have to go off of is the flag and city name. The family would get together during the holiday season and play. Would take us hours because we would plot to take people out and make them start over.

yeah tho i dont chat there much. half the stuff are looking under my fingers including the owner there (ever since salt war). it got tiresome long ago. only safe thread there for me is pretty much simple days. grandma thread there is worst one to be in, when ever i show up fuckers delete up to days worth of chat. so i dont show anymore there.
