Prestige 1 is a big thing to get if you're going to be active in the thread. It eliminates the cool-down timer so you can share the love (reactions) to others more easily. P4 has other stuff after you save up. I'd mind your bank and milk the interest until you want to grab the next one. It doesn't really take too long. P1 is definitely necessary though if you want to keep the bank account growing.

2 and 3 didn't really have anything in them worth buying, so the things they did give, got split into 1 and 4.
And then the names just didn't get changed for some reason.

P1 gets you the removal of the cool-down timer so you can give reactions more quickly. It's really about being able to interact in forums like this without being hindered. And reciprocating with the likes helps give a better impression to others.
There were P2 and P3 but were recently removed. The info I saw indicated they were being re-vamped. They only provided some visual things on the site with the profile and stuff like that, I think. I never got those.
