I would agree if most creators could maintain a semblance of quality in 3D art, but it's unfortunately not too common. Not sure whether it's the amount of work needed, or just a higher skill ceiling, but it's easier to find consistently good-looking 2D.

Can you please share examples of 2D that you like? I'm pretty sure I'm more into 3D, but I'm curious

Yes, I also struggle with depression and suicidal ideation. Meds has helped keep those thoughts to a minimum and my kids and cats keep me going on the especially hard days. I would recommend trying meds (you might need to try a bunch before you find ones that work for you) and possibly counselling.

Depression is often a blindfold that prevents us from seeing the positives, and focuses our minds on the negatives.

I agree - I think 2D has more character and more emotion. TBH its the same with Disney/Dreamworks movie animation - 2D is always my preference.

I also agree, for the most part I find 3d is always lacking in something, giving it a more lifeless feel.

Well a quick example of one of my favorite 2D games is Summertime Saga. I love the graphics in that. Shame it is going through a tough time with the revamp rather than finishing. I also like Wands and Witches - great Hogwarts - style adventure.

And i will always prefer the original hand drawn Disney films - Sword in the Stone being my all time favorite.

I don't disagree, I generally prefer smaller breasts, but 98% of the artwork for her has ginormous breasts. This is one of the only good sfw petite images I could find...

Because there's far too much of it and far too little that looks even somewhat realistic. Then take away ones with other stuff I hate, like futa, ntr, blackmail, sandbox, etc there's not too much left.
Worst is the way too many Japanese which is extremely cartoony - and even worse, censored.

Sad thing it seems games I play are not getting updated.
I feel like I only 2-3 games i play get updated in a week.

Yeah, I've already read the very first post. Thanks for mentioning that University thing too, I'll definitely take a look at that!

I agree: it's easier to find good 2d games than 3d ones, but a well done 3d game wins on a 2d game of the same quality imo.
Anyways, I think the higher skill ceiling is what makes most 3d games not appealing.
I've fiddled a bit with Daz Studio and according to my (very limited) experience with it, it's easy and fast to make a basic scene once you gather enough assets. Lighting is the hardest thing to learn and get right, so most people just want to focus on getting a game out and that's the result you get


Is anyone else having issues with multi-quotes? I can add messages to the list no problem, but when I click on Insert Quotes, it just starts loading indefinitely

I've battled depression all my life and was minutes away from killing myself when my wife came back into my life and gave me not only her love but also three compelling reasons to keep pushing forward.

Oh okay. I have played Summertime Saga (about a year ago?), I didn't realize it was still being developed. If I had to picked between 2D and 3D, it would have to be 3D for me. I find there are quite a few good ones these days, but I get your point about there being some problems that can be disruptive to the enjoyment.
