Day went pretty well -- It was sunny and warm-ish, did some small engine repair on one of my chainsaws (had to replace the purge bulb), had a couple nice walks with the dogs. Then I put Men in Black on the TV and took a one hour nap. Don't understand why but that film puts me to sleep. Made Mac-n-cheese for dinner. Pretty much same old same old

Howd you make the mac-n-cheese? Was it boxed or a recipe?

I use a recipe. The secret to good Mac n cheese is whole milk, lots of butter , flour for the roux , bacon (of course) Make the crust out of panko crumbs, Parmesan cheese and paprika. It takes about half an hour and can turn plain Macaroni noodles into artery clogging heaven.

Agreed. I love tattoos, but they have to be objectively good. There are a bunch of really bad ones out there. Somehow I dodged getting any really bad ones myself, but I also waited until my 30's to start getting them.

I am not wild about tattoos but if your body is your temple and you want to paint the walls? Go for it.

Glad you posted about this - was gonna ask. Do you only use the Parm, or do you have others in the blend? I did some home-made baked several times, different cheese variations, but didn't do the roux and make the true bechemel - will change that for the future. Hell, I make roux all the time for other things, just never did it for the mac-n-cheese. For a 1lb dry noodle cook, how much roux? This would be for a bit less -- say 3/4 of a pound of macaroni but you can scale it up. I only use the parm if I am making a crust

• 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
• 2-2 1/2 cups milk I use whole milk but I will try half and half - or maybe even whipping cream next time.
• 2 cups finely shredded mild cheese My "go to" cheese is cheddar , but I use anything handy -- even taco / Mexican cheese blends
• 1 stick of butter (salted)
• bacon -- if desired

I make the roux then stir in the cheese and after melted pour it over the macaroni - at that point you can add toppings and bake it at 350 F for 20 minutes or so - or not., if I have panko I do this but otherwise I don't bother

Seems like the next tiers are gonna take pretty long, but even longer starting over again with no interest per day. That said if P1 is worth the investment maybe it makes sense to do ASAP… help

I'd recommend getting P1 - maybe earn a bit extra so interest will build faster. But, if you're active, the coins can accumulate pretty quickly - I've had 1,400 coin days when transactions were only 5LC, and I'm not nearly as prolific in my posting as some of these guys.

The thing P1 does is you lose the reaction cooldown time; M+ removes the posting cooldown. So, with both gone, you can interact much more quickly. Just don't spam and avoid double posting - or Mime will have to come after you!

@Slumdum may be doing a lot of the merging, but @mime actually shames you for it (as is right and proper!), while Slum tends to be lowkey and nice to folks. Well, there are exceptions - like you - but otherwise...
