Hey guys, new to this site, thought it'd be best just to introduce myself before I get involved in conversation here. I guess as a sort of icebreaker, I'll say that I'm here for games. What do you guys use this site for mostly?

Hi Wejpow, happy to have you here! I am also a newbie, trying to wrap my head around local lore. Came for the games, found my best game developer and decided to support them directly. Now staying for the fun and exploration.

Can't really play anything new. By new I mean anything produced after 2000, still going cycles in Might and Magic 1-7 (not Heroes of), Jagged Alliance and such.

I haven't heard of that one. It looks fun, but my fried brain would probably get bored in half an hour Sim games always look like fun tho if you can get hooked on it

I've been too spoiled with modern games feeding nonstop dopamine into my brain. There's so many good older games that I don't have the discipline to stick with. That being said, I don't know if I've ever tried to get into a game made before 2000. I've seen videos from Ssethtzeentach that were entertaining about older games tho

I tried it a while back, but military (simulation?) games like it just don't have enough gamification, which I know sounds silly, but when I play games, I want flashy numbers and stats or mind games with opponents. Hell Let Loose was too good at respecting itself and it's vision

Lately I've been spreading myself way too thin with games. Trying to juggle Monster Hunter Wilds, Pirate Yakuza, and the Suikoden remasters. Time will be up soon because they're all getting dropped for Xenoblade X DE. That one is my favorite in the series, and one of my favorite games ever, even though as far as I can tell I'm in the minority with that opinion.

To each their own, I am just a sucker for nostalgia and older graphics, albeit with an exception of RenPy games here lol.

Dwarf fortress looks promising, I might even try that one. And somehow I missed all the Blizzard games in their entirety. It is stupid but I found pride in doing it, so will not end that streak even if I know now that some of the older games are a banger.

YES, forgot to mention Wilds myself. Unfortunately 40 hours in I feel I've done everything besides farming crowns and titles. Is Pirate Yakuza good so far for the price tag since it's a "spin off" like Gaiden? I'm interested in getting it myself. I tried watching/playing Xenoblade 1/2/3 but could never get into them, let alone the spinoffs.

Lately, Elden Ring. It's just suffering and dying and suffering and more dying. It's great.

I played Elden Ring for over a hundred hours the week it came out beat the main game, then never touched it again. Even after hearing about Malenia or the DLC, I just haven't gone back. I really should some time though.

I don't remember if it was p1 or p2 the one which gets rid of it, but yes, is hell on earth.

My initial plan was to steamroll to all the prestiges at once with the depositing everyday but one or two more days and I might to rethink my approach...
