I do live north ... but about 2km from sea
Such a "temperate" climate, that even if there is snow everywhere, it's very rare to fall (and even more to stay) where I live.
So when there is snow, it really is nice. Snow beaches are something ! (but wont go today, it's snowy, but with storm - going outside to check mail was enough !)

Does it ever snow in southern France?

It happened regularly in the past, like decades ago, typically around Christmas. Now with global warming and all that it became really rare, except on hills and mountains zones. It's been really long since last time i see snow where i live in south france.

Snow sucks, apart from the mountains, you dont need it. Asphalt doesnt require snow, mountains do
