Sorry I haven't been posting much guys. Finally been getting some backreading done over on the old thread. Thanks for letting me "borrow" the Dorlean Slum to pop back up here and make this post! But I've still been keeping up with you guys over here even if I'm not responding in real time to your posts.​

Probably to help cash up some of the fans of the old games by branding it 3. That is how marketing works.

Prevents fun names for sequels. Like for Hot Tub Time Machine they originally wanted to call the sequel Hot Tub Time Machine III, got shot down by marketing being concerned it would confuse consumers that they hadn't seen the 2nd and then wouldn't go see this one (terrible follow up to a great movie anyways but that's not the point), Now you see Me 2 should have obviously been called Now You Don't , but marketing said "We don't like the word don't in a title". Lowest common denominator marketing is the bane of fun creativity.

Sorry to hear that work wasn't great and that you had to pick up a lot of the slack from the guy who got fired. I hope that they are able to find a replacement for them soon and that they are a much better fit.​

Spoiler alert: It did not go better, the hurricane has done damage to the house. The basement is flooded. The power line snapped to the house, so I expect to be a fee days without power. So I won't be able to participate much in the secret fuckeries. Maybe I'll take my old laptop and live at work for a few days

That is just terrible. I hope you and your family are ok and that you guys are able to get power back soon and that nothing in the basement is permanently damaged. I truly hope that life turns around for you soon that's a lot of bad things in a short amount of time.

I love the idea of basements but am deeply concerned about flooding and water damage to anything I store down there.​

Yeah I'm kinda burned out from kickstarter too. Now I was bookmark the projects and then buy at the normal price after they complete and start selling the product

Seems someone or something knocked out the power that boosts the cable and internet signal to about 100 of the houses in my neighborhood last night, so I got chased off early and didn't get back until early this afternoon. Way behind on all of my "pleasure surfing" because of it. Glad I still have it though - back when I was having serious connectivity issues they reran the line from the pole to my house, but ran it from a different pole that increased the length of the run and put it in greater jeopardy from trees and limbs. Was out back and looked across the yard yesterday to see that a recent thunderstorm had broken off a limb - landed smack in the middle of the cable run. Been here over 20 years, and within 6 weeks of the new line placement, it gets hit.

Told them that was a bad place to put it. Things still work, but I think the connections aren't as solid as they should be based on the way my cable and internet have been acting the last week or so. Time to get the morons back out.

Yeah it was supposed to end after season 5 and while it was the perfect story.. I am not going to complain about another decade of supernatural, even if some parts weren't that great it was an amazing ride to be there for.

I mean, I would've preferred the story end where it was supposed to and those resources used for beating a dead horse be put to use on something else. Then again, I rarely watch CW shows with any real zeal. I somewhat recently attempted to binge the whole CWDC multiverse in proper order for the crossovers and all of that. And I almost managed to do it. Just couldn't finish the Flash, and I think Legends, oh and I guess superman and lois now that there is/was a last season coming out. Then there's that other franchise that's been milked dry... vampire diaries, I think they popped like 20 spin off series off of that one?

Reason I don't usually run into that issue is that, if I see that the page count to last reply is too long for my fruit-fly-like-attention-span or if the thread is so active at the moment that pages add faster than I can wall build, then I just start quoting as I read. This was a rare instance where I had just enough focus to read everything before posting and the thread was relatively quiet.

I was upset that supernatural never got any spinoffs while it was airing they had three backdoor pilots two of which I think would have really worked but they didn't pull the trigger on any of them. One because it was too similar to a spinoff of the vampire dairies, the originals. Once the show was over and (I assuming here) they realized what a big chunk of their viewers were because of supernatural and they decide to do a stupid prequel to the series, which bombed because that's not what we wanted

I enjoyed the Legends of tomorrow it embraces it's crazy after the first season and actually gets good, never cared for any of the other super hero shows from them.
