I completely agree.

Sadly, one of the puritanicals I was arguing with had a (sadly) catchy comeback:
"The violence is fake. The nudity is real."

I clapped back... but... I probably failed. I said:
"Ok. And the movie cupcake is real too. Does that mean I don't need to do groceries now since I've seen one in the movies? You know, just cuz I see it in a movie or show doesn't mean it's real, or affects the real world!"

Man, I suck at comebacks. I know that person is wrong... but being wordy... I can't give it the OOMPH of their false but catchy and concise slogan.

Yeah and also at least since the birth of internet, fake nude of celebrities are popular, that you can't find real nude scene of them is kinda irrelevant.

I go to small arthouse cinema to see small budget, often stranger, indie films, so i don't know much about hollywood and such (also in France we have a good production of films, some of them quite good).

In spain we joke that:
1- If there are no breast in a movie, it's not a real modern Spanish movie, some foreign interest are interfering with the direction.
2- If there are no tall blonde big breasted skimpily dressed foreigner, it's not an old Spanish movie, it's just a very good dub.

Just a quick announcement about my personal life, if you don't care you can move along, nothing witty in here.

Just wanted to say, I lost my grandpa the night to yesterday, and used most of yesterday to try and process that.
It didn't come as a shock, as we were all kinda expecting it at some point, because the doctors had given him some months left.
I'm okay, and yes I was very close to him, maybe not in the last couple of years, because he had sarted to forget us.
But it still hurts to lose him.

I'm sorry about your Gramps, even when you have some warning it's never easy to lose a loved one. Especially since you say how close you were to him. Please know that I’m here if you want to talk or anything, and if there's anything I can do to support you during this time don't hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you comfort and strength as you navigate through this. Your grandpa’s memory and the moments you shared will always be a part of you. Try to focus on the goods times you had together instead of the past few years.
