So question what does different ranks do?

as far as i i know the important things are mem+ for the + areas, p1 to remove like cooldown but i think all prestiges do this and of course p4 for a thread or two being available

I know it's based on his books but I haven't seen it and wondered if its worth watching.

I have not. I heard a lot of mixed takes on it, and decided not to gamble on it. I may check it out at some point, but I've usually got more to watch than I have time for as it is.
