Depends on the whole package. And at the same time, if animations are done purely, I would preffer to have screens only.

I usually prefer if the game has animations but they have to be at least ok, otherwise don't even bother. Trash animations make the game worse imo

I agree I'd add that if I had to choose between High quality character models or really well done animations I'd choose the good looking characters every time

i like animation most of the time but i dont think you should throw any in if you dont have the skills to id rather have consistent quality stills rather than cringy animations

animation isnt as important as a good story; a good story with stills beats a shitty story with animations. case in point, if I want animation i can look up anime or real porn!
