Seems like you need a bit of work on your own use of English (I've helped you out in my edits on your quoted post above). If you're going to criticize others, maybe you might consider making sure you yourself don't have several flaws in your criticism. I would never expect anyone never to have any mistakes, but... the above is fairly egregious.

Finally, I would say that you don't understand the word intend if you think that the game must proceed immediately and not be on hold at present:

I cannot say for sure that she got better. It's not that simple. Cuter and younger may be. Boobs got much smaller. But now she looks like an average AVN loli whom you can mix with a dozen of others.
Her previous model was somehow more unusual and memorable. Had some beauty which sticks in mind. Lower quality renders - yes, but still somehow I may like it more.

Agree. Very disappointed with the new model; it just has that pointy-nosed, elfin cartoon vibe, whereas IMO the original model had more character. Just my opinion.

Exactly. Its a year past the abandoned point. If they eventually return to it then Great. Even looking forward to it. But its not "on hold" and has not been for a year. Hopes and prayers mean nothing. Reality does. Maybe one day reality will involve a new release. Its abandoned until that happens. Not being properly marked as abandoned is MISLEADING and DECEPTIVE to the players who the tag is meant to give information to. Tags are not emotional support to a dev who may *theoretically* / *eventually* intend to make future releases. They are for the *current* / *actual* status.

That is what I assume of most Adult Visual Novels creators, they are either students or have a real job outside of making games. How many actually do it for a living? You'd have to be bringing in thousands of dollars a month for it to be worth it. The situation with payment processors and Collective Shout. Why would anyone bother.

If you are mercenary about it and in it for the money. Like Han Solo would say. I'm not in this for your revolution, I expect to be well paid. I'm in it for the money. I supported devs during the lockdown and got disillusioned with the entire patreon model.

At the end of the day making AVNs is a hobby, was before Patreon existed and still is. Prob not even 1% turn their hobby, whatever it is they like doing, into their day job. It's usually the opposite, with hobbies actually costing money. As an extreme example I know a guy that builds Tesla coils of various sizes and types up to 140kW (= 45-50-foot arcs, huge even among the obsessed in the hobby and he spent like $30k just to have 3-phase 480v 300A service installed just to run it). He's probably spent $1-2M over the past 30 years, comparable to how much he's sunk into his property. The running joke is he built the coil first then bought the land/property to store/run it.

With few exceptions I still think the crowdfunding model is a scam. Especially when major corporations use it. I can see developers who have regular schedule of like releasing every 3 or 4 months a sizable update. I'm not just thinking of porn games. Star Citizen and Squadron 42 come to mind, the biggest vaporware of all time. I would have been happy with just a new Wing Commander game. I have no idea how Chris Roberts convinced people to almost give him a billion dollars.

As an extraordinarily negative autistic combative person that STILL tries to follow board rules, I'd like to speak to an erudite like yourself. NOTE = I'm ESL in case that matters.

Could you mention the section on these board rules that limit or prohibit negativity of posts? This might cut down on replies like you're mentioning.
The above may include the higher tiers of assessment like professional devs like yourself in your own game threads that engages in a pirate site. (Thanks, btw.)
This would likely help the mods in assisting you to remove said negativity and you'd have the full backing of the site operators and then you would have a positive thread.

Since tone doesn't translate in the internet, the above is all unironic and I even foregoed my usual colourful formatting to try and instill that I'm trying to respect the dev.

Not so much this one but some AVNs deserve all the negativity they get (a couple of good reasons would be to give new would-be supporters a heads up about an dev that's on their 5th AVN with 4 abandoned or when they change/remove shit that people subbed for and they then feel like venting their anger). I can understand rules against cussing out another person or kink shaming or whatever but to me it's silly to try to pretend to be positive when someone sees little reason to be and has to be fake about it, esp on a forum that was started in the name of anti-censorship and to spite F95 (the irony). Internet forums are not populated by 5yos in kindergarten where we are scolded and told to not say anything if it's not positive. That makes as much sense as having a review system overhaul that made only 5* reviews possible.

As a French person, I tend to howl at the moon (no pun intended, but I'm totally keeping it) as a default thing. And I probably went a little too robotic / reserved in my post.
Had a shitty day and didn't wanna shitpost on the dev. For me, it's another "Fuck! Another one gone for the foreseeable future." No more. No less.

Also, the blueball games, like AWAM, deserve all the negativity they get - and MUCH less of the positivity. For some reason on Fuck95 certain games it's effectively against the rules to give a negative review.
