I've been doing "generative art" for decades, starting with custom fractal compilers in the mid 80's, then a lot of generative music in the 00's-20's, and with text to image generators since SD1.4 released in August of 22.

Yeah, I am aware; I am unfortunately out of commission until I can replace a busted SSD and rebuild my AI setup. The wife has put a hold on those plans . The kids need to eat or something.

I was hoping for something with a lower barrier to viewership. Establish rules for what can and cannot be posted, and enforce them. Maybe require all images to get mod approval before they're visible?

There were rules. For example no smols ai in the public area and users are usually pretty quick to report those to the mods. But someone reported one of the deleted images with a certain method to the server host and that got LC in trouble. Thats why everything ai art related (exception are games) is in P4 now.
And the amount of posted ai images would cause the mods in permanent work mode.
For example with perchance it's super easy to generate dozends of images within a minute, easy to flood the forum with those.

Ya, I think there should be a tag similar to game dev for AI Artist to get quicker/easier access to the P4 areas without letting people who have bad intentions to get in. To be fair though its really easy to get to the 40k with intrest and a little time/starting coins. I doubt anyone going that way is going to spend months logging on for P4 just to mass report the forum, with 5k and interest it's about 165 days to get to 40k.

Never underestimate the determination of hateful self-justified people. To me, it's not a matter of if someone would do that, it's a matter of when.

well the good thing about compounding interest is they need a starting amount and every doubling takes a little more than an extra month. I honestly dont think anyone is going to do anything and P4 is so tame there's nothing really to report.
