For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

I think it's great despite that drawback but you're also not missing out on much. It's one of those 0 structure do whatever you want games. Kind of like Rogue like evolution if you know what I mean.
Yeah, this is another thing that i don't like. I prefer a good story (even if completely linear) to a open world/sandbox. I don't like the "game"-aspect but do try those sometimes if the art intrigues me. But as many said before, to each their own ☺️

Kind of surprised of the amount of people that seem to be negative about it.
I would think a majority would enjoy the entire 'daddy' thing on here as well as the female LI's being rather vocal no matter if they are younger.

Oh well, to each their own I suppose.

Still hope to see more suggestions of games where it's possible or that can be patched to have it in a meaningful way.
you can patch most renpy-games yourself, its not that difficult.
I got a simple text-replacement mod from somewhere (don't remember) and change everything to my liking ;)

Adjustable age means absolutely nothing if context of the scene remains the same.
Literally same deal with changing relations.

Except with age, you just a lot of the times put it in there once and don't look back.

I've only noticed this in like.. a couple of games? However both were no where near full of any content. Was basically just launched and still just concepts with a few hot little tasteful scenes but nothing to really get off to imo. Bit sad cause i did enjoy the concept, I do think games can benefit from it.

I like the idea of this but most devs don't implement this correctly. If you make a character 10 and the same character 25 they are not going to be the same height or size. Of course, unless you are doing this in a 3d game engine (unreal and unity being the most known). Where you can change the scale or size of the character you would have to make stills or hand draw each age or stage of growth would be a massive amount of work but that is the only way to do it for example in renpy.

Recently play in ロリサキュバスの館 (without eng translation) where you can choose the age for succubi characters

I think it's mostly to deal with loli/smol content on credit card accepting sites and funding issues. I don't particularly like the practice. Everyone knows it's a work around.

One of the things that I really like in a game is when you can set or adjust the age of the characters.
Unfortunately that seems to be not common, even less so with out some hard coded restrictions.

I looked and I couldn't find a thread that seems to address it.
There for, what are some of your favourite games where ages can be modified.
It's ok. But I get more into a game if the age is stated explicitly and I don't have to force it. (which is kind of what it feels like). Way hotter if the girl is meant to be that age.

That seems exceptionally pointless to me. Almost as pointless as a slider for how attractive a character is (with no changes to the renders). Or is there a single game where this actually has an effect other than perhaps the number appearing on some profile page?
Think of it like an iPatch but instead of fixing relation it sets proper age.

Although I'm not responding directly to the post, I'd like to say that in games where you can adjust the age of characters, I find it funny that the developers usually don't set limits, allowing them to be either 1 or 99 years old. If I recall correctly, Radiant or Corrupted Love did set minimum and maximum ages, so if you choose 1 year old, it will give you the minimum possible age, and if you choose 99 years old, it will give you the maximum possible age.

It's silly... but I like to interpret it as "True Age" and "Censored Age," and other devs could emulate that.
Although they can always slip in a "Dark Mind" patch under the table to have things like "True Age" and "Blood Relations" in the game "unofficially."

I always prefer dark mind patches and such because it kinda kills the experience for me if I incorrectly set an age and some things don't make sense. I don't know the dynamic of the characters when setting it at the beginning of the game before knowing who these people are.

That would be a sick concept

This is also my preference, it allows the age to match the character's physique

Yes, I like it too. It's interesting when they let you try a variety of combinations to see which one suits you best, but not many games implement this.

I think it's still useless in most cases.

I think it is a clever way of getting around censorship, but if the author can just say the character's age I prefer it. It bothers me when I don't know the canon age or put in a value only to find out later in the game it doesn't make any sense.
I agree

that would be a fire feature

Its a nice touch but it doesnt make or break a game
