For Lurkers like me that system seems to flag me as a bot. I know i dont engange in pretty much anything. I read some threads, download some games and if I feel frisky I claim my daily reward in my vault and thats it.
Seems like I get flagged as a bot now all the time. Captcha isnt working and just keeps reloading and than I got to wait for an hour and retry...
Hope it gets fixed.

With respect to Jack. I think he is a big computer fan, loves computers, messing with programs and things like that, the more technical something is he
probably likes it. The problem is all this technical stuff is too much IMO for us average Joe users, and the more technical something is, the bigger chance
something will break or go wrong. I think the average user just wants something simple and basic, like admin Tripod said he prefers the KISS principle

sorry if i missed the point, but what about the older members+, they should comply? or they are grandfather in?

This is going to end up being a big headache, users are already reporting they are being denied access and receiving access
denied messages claiming they are bots.

I once tried to use the Tor browser on LC, and ended up with some message about black listed IP.

It sounds like the new implementations are anti-VPN? People use VPN because they don't want to come to a
porn website and have their government/ISP watching them like a hawk, in Germany I hear it is really bad with
persecution for accessing porn websites thus they often use VPN, I do remember a former member here talked
about all the trouble he had trying to use Tor on LC.

If I log in with proton VPN, am I going to be called a scrapping bot or get banned for life on LC for using a
VPN?


Edit: I cannot log in with Proton VPN on LC now, verification screen sticks and screws
up.

So far I really like these new changes, it allows lurkers to lurk and also prevents issues with new accounts earning status too fast, personally I'm all for this change.

I was also stuck in a verify loop and then flagged as a bot so that was a bit confusing for a minute, seems to be fixed now that I waited about 30+ minutes so hopefully I don't lose my account by accident lol.

Oh and how do you verify your email or is that not yet implemented? Thank you for your effort in making these changes and trying to find a reasonable middle ground for everyone.

oh also this system now looks at previous time to, so you may already racked up enough score.

Im a newer user and it seemed a bit odd before but this feels like a solid system tbh dont think you should apologise for tryina make it a better space at all I think most appreciate it tbh.

I have noticed the retroactive portion of it already. I can also confidently say I do enjoy this change and might give me reason to become more active again.

Just read through the thread to see what the new changes are. I am a rather accomplished lurker as well as a member of Members+ and I'm thankful to see that I won't lose that status.

That said, I think the changes are a very good start to fostering engagement with newer users wanting to unlock +. I'm sure there'll be a few detractors, but so far the LC team seems to be doing a good job of being open about what they're doing. So if anything, there's transparency.

Anyhoo.. keep up the good work.

currently yes, i am working on adding something to profiles/postbits but will take some time.
