Please Help!
I'd like to understand what happened. My original account was suddenly permanently banned yesterday. The response I received from Discord seems to suggest it was related to spam or scam activity.
Is it possible for Discord to be abused by malware, bots, or Trojan programs that automatically send messages across different servers and channels without the user's knowledge?
If that is the case, does it indicate that my computer may be infected? I've already run security scans, but nothing suspicious was detected.
Could someone please advise me on what steps I should take next or where I can seek further assistance?
Are there any suggested preventive measures for this type of problem?

I'm not sure if it will help at all, but a couple of years ago something similar happened to a buddy of mine, he was part of a public discord server, and somebody joined and started reporting multiple people for spam, my buddy is the type of person to occasionally send 3-4 messages at a time instead of making it one large message and he woke up with a banned account, he was able to get the account back after emailing discord support and explaining the situation, I believe he had a moderator on the server vouch for him not spamming maliciously? but I'm unsure.

Now in the case of scams, unless somebody has your info I don't think they can send messages on your behalf, and I think if somebody reports links enough with the reasoning being scams AI might flag your account instead of a human so it could be a false flag because of trolls, but has anybody sent you any strange links or downloads claiming to be a game designer looking for people to test their games? or claiming they accidently reported you on discord and needed you to message Discord support about it? Clicking those links or accepting those downloads can give bad actors access to your account, I'm not sure how it works but it apparently doesn't fire off warning in scans, I think it's something about stealing your login cookies and using those to hijack your account or something? I'm very uneducated when it comes to hacks and the like.

In fact another friend of mine fell for the report scam about 3 months ago and lost her account, now the account sends the same sketchy link to multiple people trying to hack more accounts and support has done nothing for her.

As far as preventing these things from happening, Never download anything especially exe's or click a link from an untrusted source, even if the source is trusted it's always good to validate who you're talking to, the friend of mine who fell for the report scam got hit by someone on her friends list who got it from someone else and she didn't think twice because it was her friends account, I think having 2factor authentication will also help prevent account theft as well? but it's definitely not perfect.

In the end the best thing to do is email support and try to give proof that it wasn't you who was at fault, maybe ask them to check the IP address to past logins to look for things that don't match? I know Discord support can either be really helpful, or absolute trash. Worst case scenario is the account is lost and you'll need to rebuild, hopefully that doesn't come to pass and you get yours back, Good Luck and sorry if this didn't help.
