Do you guys still bother if a game says abandoned? I struggle to start a game with the abandoned tag cause you eother get nothing or you get something great that ends too soon.

If anyone has any recommendations for abandoned games let me know as I usually avoid them but I know there's a few hidden gems?

mostly i skip them, same reason as yours. But "The Tyrant" is a good abandoned game

Answering first question no, I never played any abandoned game, I just never saw a reason to. As for recommendations I can't recommend anything, for obvious reason.

Try these:
Hot Sand of Antarctica https://lewdcorner.com/threads/hot-sand-of-antarctica-0-09-grinvald.10240/ Here you'll see that the game is On Hold, but on most other sites it is marked as abandoned.
Midlife Crisis. Very solid story, it seems to be in a closed section here, but it's publicly available on other sites. No one knows why the development was stopped - there is talk of the death of the developer.

I always skip them; no matter how it goes, it ends up bad. Either the game is crap or the game is great, and you're left in the middle of a story with no answers or no ending

I played alot of abandoned games. Alot of them are FIRE!

Mainly, I skip them and only have played or play them if they are highly acclaimed or have a good enough length.

Usually I skip em as well, but here are some that I played before they got abandoned

-Proud Father Most of us know about this game and what happened to the dev. But its still a banger in case you haven't played it
-Buried Desires Ended too soon and had massive potential, still has some good content it
-Summer Camp Same as last one, lots of cute girls but only made content for a few before he disappeared. I assume something spooked him on the type of content he was making but im not to sure.

The ones that get abandoned before anyone actually takes off any clothes are annoying but there are some gems out there

If the preview pics look interesting I'll check it out.
It's sad if it turns out to be very good and you know that there will be no more content for it, but you could enjoy what's already there at least.
Hummingbird for example is abandoned but a beautiful piece of art, the content is not for everyone though.

I never try a new game (for me) that has the abandoned tag, i do however go back to some games i enjoyed that got the tag, like Midlife Crisis, AOA Academy and Reluctant Archon

Yes I'm not proud of it but hey when over 98% of adult games are abandoned, or remade there really are not many complete games to play.

I'm willing to give an abandoned game a shot if it looks good enough. And there are some very good abandoned games out there.

'Better to have loved and lost', and better to have experienced a great game even if there won't be more of it, in my opinion.

I not only avoid abandoned games, but I'll also look at when a game was released and when it was last updated. If there are no updates (release date and last update date are the same) or the last update was over six months ago, I tend to avoid those as well.

I try abandoned games if they have some good reviews and have more than just 1 or 2 releases.

You must not play many of these games then as most get abandoned, remade, and end up unfinished without an ending.

Not automatic skip. There are more than a few that are pretty good. SSP is a good one worth looking at for example. It starts getting pretty convoluted at a point so I don't mind that it was abandoned. Really like for them to give us the ending though.

I usually avoid them bc even when they are good you get a bitter taste from the fact that you will never see the end of the story

No problem if a game has the abandoned tag, if something catches my attention, i play it anyway.
There could be some good scenes to watch

I can't get into abandoned games. Knowing there's no chance for a ending just takes all the wind out of my sails.
