Don't get me wrong, I have the greatest respect for game devs but when it comes to these long development cycles, I almost feel like a masochist for playing each release when it comes out and then waiting months for more. It didn't hit me as much... because... it was NTR.
NTR is about pissing off the MC / Player (imo).

On the NTR path I didn't see it as "I won't do X and go unprotected at all."
I saw it as she means, but doesn't say: "I won't do X and go unprotected with YOU (with an implied 'loser! Anyone... ANYONE else is fair game.)"
And when she says the first line above, she's just lying to the MC's face to avoid conflict or fucking with the MC's head.

Now I didn't replay the game since it got abandoned on 95 so I can't confirm. If the Dev actually showed her thoughts as "No I can't with anyone..." then yeah... bad writing.
