Yep you uses the trading button by giving a greater amount and asking for one coin in return or use the gift option. Both work as intended.

I mean 1000 is insanely generous, but I'm sure people are just looking for 750...
Hell, probably even 500 is enough to get most people there... (or at least with just a tiny bit of effort more)
