if the game has missable content that you can otherwise get in one go then yes, even for games with branching paths.
Something i've noticed is that i REALLY dislike replaying games, even if i found them really fun the first time...The most notable example for me is Lessons in love, this game is...
i really dislike when i can't see thumbnails, it's a pain in the ass just having to open each and individual game just to close it instantly because i didn't like the art style.
the obvious answer is always "depends" i feel, but if a dev wants to grow a community they should probably focus on story more, especially if talking about VNs, the "came for porn stayed for the story" is a really common experience from what i've seen.
I myself prefer a good story, if i really...
depends on the genre usually, if it's clearly meant to just be smut then yes, but i usually read through most of them if i there's clearly effort put into the story.
lessons in love lately, or dissonance (by l_elyot), the former especially as there are still a looooot of questions to be answered and i just like the dialogue for the game.
this game is amazing, the animations are fantastic and the writing is well executed, but the dev is really taking his time with the updates... hopefully it doesn't turn into another hero's harem guild.
Laws town adventures, I don't know how popular it actually is but it does have a bunch of reviews on itch.

Personally I'm kind of just scared that I'll get...
I think goddesses whim actually, VN koikatsu game.
Just saw it on itch and downloaded it as joke... then before i realized it I got deep into the rabbit hole. (I played like 10 of those after that including the entirety of Lessons in Love which is like what... 3.5 millions words?)
posting here to say that 0.4.6 has come out since june.
It's a shame the dev said that the game is ending in just a couple more (story focused) updates, it definitely has some of the best animations for its genre.
the game can be grindy at times but i didn't find it that bad, the combat in on itself is essentially a copy of Octopath Traveler, but i still found it fairly fun and there is definitely strategy to it, the characters i'd say are written to be faithful to their original counterparts (save for...
Sel recently locked the update patches to subscribers, so now we have to download the entire game each update, bit of a bummer as the game is really big, if you have stuff like fanfest or the guide mod i recommend just downloading the new version and pasting the entire game folder to the...
