As someone who has never played, should I download an old update or the newest one?

It's gone through several script rewrites at this point. You could pick an update and play, pick a different one, and get a... similar but also different game.
Short of it is... you're a photographer, and the company sends you a brother and sister to take photos of. (Dev has been ongoing for a while so some changes and details are gonna get skewed... sorry)
In the original story arc, you could just her, him, or both. The stories were different depending on what you picked, and the scenes offered were different, but not foundationally different.
In one rewrite progression and significant scene changes happened. There were "dropped" characters, some scenes that happened disappeared, etc.
In another rewrite, progression and major scene changes happened. The entire story arc was "massively" changed. The focus was less on a "equal" 3 stories, to more emphasis sisters or mixed storylines.


TL;DR- Download any version. Play. Download a different version, there's a good chance its gonna be solidly different than the other version. DL the latest for the best "chance" at a consistent storyline. Though, not likely.

well idk what some ppls problems are with the way this goes with the updates on this game the dev made it clear from the start he wont release the game in updates rather as a full game completed and what we get until then are basically teasers or progress whatever you wanna call it so wait for the full finished release

Yes, 1.13 has 2 more scenes i think. and its the "latest" version before all the rework crap.

Had to go through the game script just to figure this out (and even then I don't think I understood it), but the "Restart Normally" option you get at the end of the story is actually a New Game+ instead of a clean slate.

The long and short of it is, make all the choices you thought were right in the first run, and just do that again in the second. It's not actually a complicated combination of choices that goad her into going all out.

It's honestly not all that worth it, though. There's no major dialog change during nor after that.

I played the latest version and it was completely different. All that build-up for months on the previous builds, now the developer is back at square one. The plot isn't even the same, is he on drugs or something? I've never seen this before and hopefully never will again. The old version was way better because of the ending.

Trash. Every new version now is a rework/reboot of the whole thing with less content than the previous version. It's going backwards. What's gonna be in the next version after this? Another rework with another different story and even less content? Dunno why the dev is ruining his own VN. I've never seen a dev do this to a VN before.

A real shame to hear this one is just constantly being rewritten. Maybe the dev needs to leave this one and start on a new game instead of re doing this game over and over. The game is v2 plus. Which means they could have made a sequel or something new. They need to take a page out of EmperoXXX's book and experiment a bit with different styles

Its not being rewritten, their releasing snippets of paths until the full release
