I assume everyone will say no and i'll be the first to 10 billion activity points! bwahahaha....hold on, do you get activity points for replies on your own thread? goddammit have I just wasted another 10 points on this nonsense? Oh well, I still stand by the original statement...anyway, while you are here, I can't remember the name of the game I sometimes play that has a million updates without any content with the main LI, it tries really hard to avoid incest (you know how in incest games every LI you meet has some improbable and tenuous familial link to the MC, this game is the opposite of that) and has a character called 'lilith' I think or some other generic goth name who doesn't want you to fuck the MC...anyway I haven't the time to find this game without the thumbnail and it has quite a generic name. can anyone help or answer the original question? I'll have all the activity points back ive wasted posting this if you do, unless I don't if that isn't how this works.

Well I for one (another), liked the old thumbnail view. Only "Lilith" game I know of is "Lilith's Throne", though I've never played it. So I don't know the premise.

The thumbnails help to get a first impression of the game and help you decide to play or not.

Like it or not, people judge books by their cover. If i don't like the art, I probably won't even bother with the game, so not having thumbnails seems like a major pain in the ass, and I guess it would increase traffic on posts that people would usually not even look at? Not sure if that's even relevant lol

Oh hell no, I prefer knowing what the hell I'm downloading.

I like the thumbnails.

without them....

The fact that an emergency situation occurred on the site, which led to the loss of graphic files, I thought, was not news, representatives of the administration wrote about it repeatedly, it is surprising that someone does not know this. Thank all the gods that the site remained operational after that.
As for the games, their names are worth remembering, they won't overflow the RAM cells in the brain. If you don't remember the name of the game you're playing, then maybe it's not that important to you?

For as long as there are no changes made to the Latest Updates page (and it works on the Members+ area, as I don't know that for sure...), I don't quite care.

just wanna say that the argument of "if you don't remember it well, then maybe you didn't care enough" is reallllly not a good argument. people forget shit all the time for a ton of different reasons, sometimes just because their brain is that way. also, it's not about the games you remember, but browsing for games. it's not the end of the world to go to the effort of clicking through and figuring out the art isn't your thing, but it can be nice to give a glance and know "oh, yeah, not gonna like that". in particular it's helpful for 2d games because the variety can be so vast in terms of art.

also, expecting everyone on a site to know about an emergency situation is...interesting unless it was happening right now or it happened this week. new people join every day, people don't visit the site for months, a new issue that takes over the notifications drowns out the old one, etc...you can absolutely inform people of something that happened without this weird passive-aggressive adjacent tone. It honestly wasn't that bad until the last two sentences when you just kinda were insufferable for no reason. Chill. Not everyone remembers every single game they played and not every single game has to be super duper memorable to be worth trying to find again. Can't count how many times I've had a game pop into my head with no title attached to it and only vague memories to use as a means to search, I eventually figure it out and end up absolutely loving it all over again. Forgot one of my absolute favorite VNs existed until the author posted something about their new game. Take a breath, not everyone is as well-informed, as involved or as smart as you obviously are.
