What game, or games, do you have to mod to be able to enjoy playing them?

Man I feel like I don't HAVE to mod anything to enjoy it, its more of a compulsion or something. Like, I feel like some games I've spent more time modding than actually playing. Every other year or so, I'll mod the fuck out of a Bethesda game then never touch it. Maybe it the other way around this whole time, maybe I need to stop modding to actually enjoy the goddamn game lmao

Thats also fair. Ive beaten every Bethesda game ive played before modding them. But some just need mods to be good or fun for me. Fallout 4 and Skyrim are just 2 examples.

Sims 3
Sims 4 before they changed the artstyle

I like being able to create things. Just not in a Minecraft type of way

I don't do much modding myself except in Bethesda games. I think FO4 was the only game I've never even touched vanilla because I loaded it up with mods as soon as I got it. It had been a couple years since it released so there were a good amount mods around.

Yeah, curseforge.com has mods for Burning Crusade Classic, Panderia Classic, Vanilla Classic and the latest expansion, Midnight. You can find a lot about the mods in some of the forum for WoW.
I dont know why but it still surprises me that WOW has mods. Thats another game i never played as well so im not surprised i didnt know but i thought for sure they wouldnt be allowed

I was surprised too when I first started playing in 2007. I was part of a guild back then and when the other guild members started talking about mods, I had to ask and
soon everyone was telling me what mods to get, where to install them in the game folders and how to configure for each toon that I had in my collections.
It was really great, because you could get one like Bagnon which would consolidate all of your bags into one Large bag, so yeah, there's quite a few that you can get
for WoW.

Sounds like a great community, at that time anyway. If i knew mods could work i might have tried it at one point but unfortunately i just dont have time anymore.

I mod so many games at this point. Companies just cant seem to make games that can keep my attention without them

I can’t play Pokémon Crystal without its ROM hack counterpart, Polished Crystal. It adds so many quality-of-life improvements.

Same goes for AVNs. I pretty much always use walkthrough and gallery mods.

For Doom, I play Brutal Doom version of the original maps: Hell on Earth starter pack.

I can’t play Far Cry 3 without its HUD-less counterpart, Ziggy's Mod.

And Ashes 2063, since it’s a total conversion, it has to be modded by definition.
