Discord can get fucked.
Since Discord keeps drifting further into this pathetic “hand over your ID so we can decide if you’re allowed to exist” direction, I decided I’m done relying on them. I’m not building a community on a platform that keeps moving closer to treating ordinary users like criminals, products, or liabilities the second it becomes convenient for them.
That kind of shit destroys privacy, destroys trust, and destroys the entire point of having an actual community in the first place.
So instead of waiting around for Discord to get even worse, I built my own closed-source alternative: LewdCord.
And no, I did not build it on top of some open-source hand-me-down garbage either. I’m not gambling the future of my platform on software that can get sold out, restricted, gutted, relicensed, forced into compliance, or pushed toward the exact same ID-verification clownshow later. I’m taking zero chances on that.
LewdCord is being built as its own web app and API platform, on its own domain, on its own server, under our control instead of theirs.
This is not just “Discord but renamed.”
This is me making sure the community has a platform that is not chained to Discord’s bullshit decisions.
What LewdCord is aiming for / already being built toward:
And yes, LewdCord is also being built with its own identity and features instead of feeling like a sterile corporate clone. That means platform customization, profile perks, theme control, stickers/emojis, sound-related personalization, premium expansion features, and a system that can actually evolve around our community instead of whatever sanitized direction Discord wants to force next.
Most importantly, LewdCord exists for one reason:
so this community does not have to kneel to Discord’s rules, Discord’s paranoia, Discord’s future policy changes, or Discord’s constant urge to control more and more of what users must hand over.
LewdCord is not finished yet, and I’m not pretending it is. It is still in development. But the direction is real, the platform is real, and the goal is simple:
Independence.
Privacy.
Control.
No forced corporate humiliation rituals just to use chat.
So while Discord keeps acting like a spineless cuck platform that would rather pressure users into identity checks than respect privacy, I’m building something that belongs to us instead of them.
Anyways, here is a promo video for LewdCord so you can see what’s coming.

emoji's box still a work in progress
reaction issues as well)

What LewdCord is aiming for / already being built toward:
- A fully independent platform not tied to Discord’s ecosystem
- Real private messaging architecture where DM plaintext is not stored on the server
- Ciphertext-only DM storage instead of casually trusting a third party with everything
- Rate limits, audit trails, and suspicious-session revocation instead of lazy security
- Real-time delivery and sync systems so unread/read state updates properly across active clients
- Server invite controls, mute persistence, mention handling, and cloud-synced state
- A foundation built to scale instead of being some half-assed toy project
