Man at the risk of kicking the hive or looking at the gift horse - how does LC get around the rules/laws which keeps the really good stuff off of Fuck95? I'm glad it does, or I will be once I hit the magical games+, but I can't help but be curious.

Probably similar to another big site that specializes in lolisho content.

We try to have a friendlier community here. There's some content here that isn't there, but I think @Underlord got you a good description overall.

That's an easy question. This site avoids hosting illegal content. Laws are not the same everywhere, but it seems to me that they ban things that even one country says is illegal. This site mostly only bans things that are illegal in the countries where the site's infrastructure or owner are.

I've only run into a few issues in many years on that site, but we try to keep things friendly here. I'm glad your experience here has been good so far.

Not really. You don't have to react to someone, but it's a lot more common here to react to content. And that starts from the idea that it does give ActivityCoins when you react to someone's post. When I reprimand a user for something about their post, I usually don't react to it, since even a negative reaction gives coins.

Man, my laptop finally gave out today. The audio was crackling all day and then, of course, after I hit it out of frustration, the sound just died completely. Classic.

I’ve been using this thing for almost 10 years, so I figure I deserve a new one at this point, but I still want to repair the old laptop too, just in case I need a backup.

This machine has been through so much with me. The battery even bloated (super dangerous, could’ve exploded), so I had to remove it myself.

And to top it all off, I just bought a new phone, so my budget is already tight. Anyway, does anyone know a good mid-range gaming laptop under $1,000?

Always have. I toss them on the backlog and get to them when I get to them. Often the suggestions are ones we've done before, which just means I'm more likely to repeat them sooner.

not really actually, big brands are getting ram for cheap the only people fighting for ram are enthusiast builders. laptop prices are about the same as they were a year ago. dont except it to ever go down, just up

Acer, huh? I was actually leaning more toward ASUS or Lenovo.

ASUS because my old laptop is ASUS too, and that thing is thick and durable as hell. It even fell from a medium height once and was still totally fine.

Lenovo because that seems to be the general consensus on Reddit.

Exactly. I think a lot of people are better off buying moderate to low priced equipment if they need to and waiting for prices to come down before going expensive.

Pre-built computers haven't jumped too much yet, but I've seen most laptops, miniPCs, etc. jump at least $100 in the last month. I expect their prices to increase more when their stocks of equipment start getting replenished at higher prices.

wow....... that is a bad thing to happen now in this RAM climate. you (and your loyal laptop) have my condolences

if it is not soldered in it may be a good idea to grab some of that ram out of the device! lenovo was doing a good for value range of gaming laptops a year ago 40 series and now some 50 cards, but their prices have gone up a lot. some of their "legion" series laptops are on sale (not the hand-helds), but what i saw was fifty or sixty dollars-so over your budget.

Truth. It's one reason why having some old RAM or SSDs sitting around can be very useful right now.

Yeah, some things you can still get for reasonable prices, so buy those now if you need them. If you can wait a couple of years, it might be worth it for some stuff.

And don’t you mean $600 over my budget? I checked the Legion 5 Pro series where I live and it’s going for $1,600+.
