I've decided to stop using Subscribestar from now on, their support team is so fucking trash it might as well not exist. And they do not give any updates at all when changes are made to my account by them (shadow bans for example).

If you are currently a Subscribestar sub then please consider going over to my Patreon instead. It's so fucking weird to say but Patreon is just way fucking better in every way. Especially since Subscribestar has started hammering down smol content as well.

I'll also be removing all Subscribestar roles from my discord so there'll be no benefit to being a sub to me at that platform anymore.
(I can't delete my Subscribestar account if people are giving me money. Not my rules, Subscribestar rules).

Another reason I'm removing the Subscribestar Discord roles is because from what I can tell, people that haven't payed in a LOOOOOONG ass time still have their roles

You asked about "any news form Ronovan himself or find him on another platform". ObservantShadow's post gives you the most recent information Ronovan posted about this. Since that post, though, he's apparently disappeared from online. Hopefully that doesn't mean anything extremely severe (like prison time or something), but the truth is that nobody knows anything. We have no news about the game or the dev at all. Patreon is gone; his profile on X is gone; Discord is gone; PixIV is gone. There is nowhere that we know of where he can be found now. Unless someone posts something conclusive here (especially if Ronovan himself does), it's fairly safe to assume this is truly abandoned now.

I have actually: No, there was nothing severe, he is well, it's simply that the whole whack-a-mole just wittled him down and he stepped away from all of it for good. Just too much stress to deal with all of that sadly, like other Devs before.
IF he comes back to game creation in the future it will still be a clear break, with a new Alias without any of the old baggage (and 99% likely without smols), so MorM is gone for good.
Theoretically there is always a possibility of changing your mind obviously, but I wouldn't bet on some 0.1% chance

And yes, that is personal first hand information.

At this rate there wont be any decent developers left in the genre.

Were stuck playing the same boring vanilla games mostly based on college.

I hope nobody is truly surprised by this. After he first abandoned the game and then waffled about with the idea of making anew game with the same characters which obviously displeased most people the writing was on the wall so to speak.

What's there is very good, but as you see there's a few days of content and in all likelihood will never be any more.

I can't blame anybody for trying to earn money from hobbies, but people are forgetting that we are part of a despised community that will meet all sort of opposition by trying to monetize the content we do. This mentality that we have to transform our hobbies into sources of income is the reason why many loli developers are simply quitting from smol content: they don't want to understand that this is not the medium to earn money from doing what you like. This is something you can do in your free time and people can be patient enough to wait for updates, just as they do for long projects such as Eternum. Eternum's dev won't publish updates every 2 or 3 months, and that's not a bad thing. He's consistent and that's all that matters.

Ronovan, Ketzal, RogueOne, Royal Games. They are all examples of what happens when you think you can just decide to get another source of income from loli VNs: If your aim is to monetize with smols, either you will end up abandoning the entire dev scene or surrendering to doing vanilla content (either by creating a whole new VN or by aging your characters; ew). I personally don't do VNs at all because I lack the skills in HS2 (or DAZ, or VAM...), but it would be a hobby I'd love to partake in. I like writing stories and I'd love to be able to create a VN myself someday for this community; for free. However, I do have other hobbies, and for every hobby I've had that has implied sharing things with others, like my RPG projects and more (which I will not further elaborate here), it never crossed to me the idea of paywalling it or expecting to live off it. Hobbies are hobbies, not full- nor part-time jobs.

Of course Subscribestar, Patreon and the like will ban us! What do we even expect? Those are not the places for us to roam. We are not to expect a warm welcome from websites governed by payment processors and social pressure. So either we do what we like because we like it in the spaces where we are allowed, or we find something else to do entirely.

I'm older then most on this site and I still remember the days when we had no such forums and funding sites.

I'm pretty new in this scene, barely over 2-3 years roaming boards but it is what it is. Not everything is about money, and if anybody thinks doing VNs is a waste of time if it can't result in some sort of income then they should just get a second job. This is just not the place to seek funding.

He asked not to talk about that game on here
But since he ghosted it doesn't really matter
Cause it's not like it'll see release

Unless he plans on making a new dev persona to start doing parody games

We all know we wondered if it was Ronovan back when Rogue One released the first update, and at the time, the sister and her friends were lolis. Then in the next update, he freaked out and made the girls grow up. And when I see the quality that this game has today, I dream that it had continued as it had planned at the beginning...

No we didn't, because MorM was still in active development at the time RogueOne got inspired by it and started his game... xD
Do agree tho, he is not quite the same level, but close enough, but sadly he instantly got the "fear" and switched over... well, it is what it is.

Huh, had no idea teacher was originally a smol game. Might have the best animations and scene staging of the games out there right now tbh, but now I'm really curious what the original models looked like before they were aged up. Guessing it might have been Version 0.1 or something, but his Itcio only goes back to vers ~0.4.
Is there any place you can see the vers 0.1 models, even just a couple of pics?
