I actually used a formula to decide if I could --- ummm - have a special "friend" -

I would take my age - divide it by 2 and add 8 and it still works to this day, is socially acceptable and keeps you out of jail..................

when I was 12 - the girl had to be 14
when I was 16 - the girl had to be 16
when I was 22 - the girl had to be 19
when I was 32 - the girl had to be 24
when I was 42 - the girl had to be 29
when I was 62 - the girl had to be 39

and so on. -- keeps me sane
