Today we have "Palio di Siena" it's dedicatet to the Holy Mother...
In my town we have another saint's holiday and the street, once upon a time, the streets were filled with carts selling sweets and toys.
In the afternoon, we'd play all day, throwing buckets of water at them.

Now, nothing's left; even 13/14-year-olds gather for a barbecue by the river with beer and wine.
In the evening we have only two carts with some industrial candy.

We've lost our traditions to consumerism.
