I think part of it is the use of practical effects whenever they could. Some of the behind the scenes shots for the deaths are wild.

For real I 100% think this is why, we've lost our way with CGI but man give me some practical effects anyday. Like The Thing from 1980's sooo good and creepy af with the practical effects.

Yeap they are thinking to ban vpn's too , it was gooner 9/11 at first but now shits escalated.

Lol this just makes me think back to my days in school, people are going to relearn what proxies are to get around bans for specific website links. I used to sell the links the kids at school so they could bypass school security and check their facebooks.

Ah yes "Ravenous" -- The game is more extreme than "No Mercy" but has dodged that banning bullet so far for no other reason that I can see other than the title was not so triggering. It's not bad -- kinda like "Raptus" if that's your thing.

It was blatantly an excuse and they moved on from porn like 1 or 2 days later. Porn is an easy target because it's very easy to counteract with a porn defender argument.

Either way, kids will always find a way and by restricting their access will only force them to try other ways that can actually harm them like using the dark web.
I remember being a teen getting blocked by my home's internet providers from accessing porn sites and I went around that shit in less than 30m and I didn't even know what a VPN was (this was around the late 2000s, early 2010s)
