I've come across so many RPG open world type porn games. I didn't expect to see that level of game. Wanted to get some opinions. Does anyone see this genre of game reaching the mainstream?

Man, games like this are pretty rare these days since the smallest size is usually around 15GB due to the rendering, but I think it could create some great content. Nowadays, there are plenty of games that are about 8GB, but you finish them in 3 hours because most of the size is just dialogue. But the game at least need to have a good cap to run in every pc avaliable of medium cost, if not u won't get much content.

Are you talking about all those ones on steam? The open world survival craft ones? (Wicked Island or something like that, I think) or are you talking about more traditional open world RPG?

probably the kind u walk aroud a great scale 3d world, if it is what I think, with a huge space to move and interect with a lot of characters. maybe even ast the character to follow u around the map...

Illusion made a few like that. Sexy Beach, Koikatsu, Honey Select, and Playhome are all technically like that, though all are best heavily modded. There's Wild, Wicked, Sin, something like that Island that's a kind of survival craft where you can only play a female character and you get raped by orcs or something (I never played it). Honestly, check Steam's Nextfest any time it comes up, there were like 80+ porn games on there during one and some of them seemed like they were trying to make real games and not just AVNs, though there were definitely some pixelhunt AVNs on there.

Really, then how come I bought the first 3 games from Ebay and the last 2 off the D-Dub around the time of their releases then? After all you cannot get more mainstream than Ebay can you?

Availability has nothing to do with a game being mainstream... you can buy Honey Select 2 on Steam.

True RPGs, not the lite ones played by people who don't want to dive into the genre (which I respect, isn't easy), are already quite niche, and porn games are even more niche. An open-world porn RPG is a rare sight and extremely niche.
Finding a decent one is difficult, but from what I've tried, you have:

Renryuu Ascension
A traditional RPG, many characters, many quests, the story is good, the combat is turn-based, it has many systems, and it's a bit overwhelming. Using a guide is highly recommended, I'd say even mandatory, at least to get all the characters as quickly as possible. Once you reach the castle and make the appropriate introductions, you're free to go wherever you want.

Princess and Conquest
This is a slightly different RPG. It would be a spoiler to talk about it, but getting down to the nitty-gritty, it has a reset system where reaching an ending allows you to do a new game+ and choose new routes. You'll be doing this constantly because these ladies are fucking violent. It's pretty good, but if you don't like the companion system and resets, you won't enjoy the game at all.

The only one that is on my mind and big, serious is Koikatsu. But there is basically not a really rpg like thingy there.

IDK I haven't seen any serious RPG open world serious porn game that is not just in some "development" state and more reminds of a demo\alpha\really bugged version of something.

The typical 2d RPG games aren't worth the effort. I'm not really a fan of running around some 2D map for half an hour trying to get a single porn scene because its 'open world' and you need to visit Sasha 3 maps over to deliver a message to her only you have no clue which house is hers so you run around like an asshole trying to get there.

I don't get porn games in general which do that.
Personally, in general, even if its a well 'developed' 2d game, if I'm playing a porn game, i'm trying to get off. If i wanted a story, I wouldn't be holding my dick in my hand.

I really haven't seen too many 3D open world games. There are a few i can think of that were decent but mostly 3D 'games' end up being demos because 1 guy or a couple of developers are developing it and i'm sure its a pain in the ass to develop and takes years to get anywhere with it. Not to mention those games are 'massive' downloads which means you better be ready to spend the effort to download that 30GB '3d open world' demo of a porn game. Once you do that a few times too, you start to lose interest in the concept.
