Oof, yeah definitely seems like saves are totally broken from this update, which is never fun, bleh. Looks like another game I'll have to put off until I have the patience to spend however long skipping through and making all the choices again. I guess I'm off to play/watch something else tonight and I'll come back to this another night.
So long as you don't delete them, the saves will still work with the next patch. I hope to get it done within the next couple of days.

As stated, I released it unfinished. For the gallery, you actually need to go through and replay the scenes to show up in the gallery correctly. If you're going off a previous save, you'll get errors.

The next patch will hopefully get the gallery issue fixed as well.

Sorry about the undescribed links. I've been rather out of sorts the last couple weeks.

If you are using the Android version, yeah there's an issue with the saves because the fixed versions were done by someone else who does not have my SDK keys. The saves aren't "broken", I just haven't had the time to go back and redo the update so it will work alongside the previous Android version in regards to saves.

I'll likely go back and release a 0.8.1b or 0.8.2 version with all compatibility restored. I rushed the release, fucked it up, and someone was very helpful and nice enough to take the messed up versions, fix them on his own, and give me the links so I could at least get something stable out there until I get home.

Just to clarify, you specifically mentioned Android saves having issues, but my save issue is with the PC version, is the fix in the next patch going to address save issues for all versions or is it specifically aimed at issues with the Android version?

I am hoping all issues will be fixed. I was not aware there was a problem with the PC version, as that should not have happened. No one else has been reporting this issue (as yet), so I'm not sure if it's systemic or something specific to your download/installation.

Wait, I probably know what the issue is.

What I can do is make a "lesser" version of the game that won't mess up your saves. It won't have the gallery or the updated UI stuff, but it will function with previous saves. It will take me a while to get to it. I'm still recovering from surgery and will need to do the Android fix first when I can get to it. If you can be patient, it's doable.

If you don't want to wait and also want to have the gallery, you can begin a new save and skip through everything to get to the choices, keep the same choices, and then pick up where you left off. It shouldn't take but, at most, five minutes.

So there have been a few issues with the code on the PC Version (gofile) I got. The end of chapter 7 going to promo 2 instead of chapter 8, moonchild being unnamed even on a fresh playthrough, animations for chapter 8 not being coded and a few sslowfades but all of those were quick and easy fixes. Also the gallery didn't work but that's no biggie to me, I'm sure it'll all be cleaned up by next release.

Otherwise it was a great release, happy it's still going at a relatively slow pace, that Denae is opening up and finding some happiness and I love the family unit of MC, Isla, Denae, Leslie and Shelby, they are all really sweet together. Also happy that it's fully free love, in the theoretical situation of the story everybody would be with everyone they are attracted to and not just MCSexual.

Hope things look up for you soon Cynist and best of luck with continuing the story.

The files in the top post are glitched. I messed up some transfers and updates and... that's what happened. A page or two back there is a post I made that has the links to the... mostly corrected versions.

You'll likely have to start the game over for the gallery to work. I'm hoping to have a fully fixed and functioning 0.8 coming out soon-ish.

What the fuck?

Was this supposed to be a reply/answer to my post/question to you?

How the fuck am I supposed to know that you posted an answer/reply if you don't quote my post and/or reply to my post?

Why not just reply to my post to you and reply to me with an answer to my question?

This is fucked up!
Dude calm down, you Sound like a real entitled asshat right know.

Just click the stupid link and look at the Filenames, it's obvious what they are. Or read the post that already told you what they are.

i'm not sure , the end of the 0.8 is with denae crying and the post scene why the two other games ?

This needs meaningful choices beyond enabling/hiding content. The mysterious figures provide some intrigue but the story needs an antagonist to keep people engaged wondering what happens next. I start speed clicking through endless sex scenes I have zero control over.

Meaningful choices means branching storylines, which exponentially increase the amount of work when it comes to writing, imaging, and animating. Even as it stands, there are several different paths taken due to the optional content with characters like Kelly and Leslie.

Multiple paths/endings are madness for me. It's why I've kept the main story kinetic and allowed some variation depending on the player's genre tastes.

No one's ever said to me it needs more intrigue. This story isn't really geared towards intrigue and drama, though there are a couple of antagonists.

Q for Cynist: Have you already mapped out how many updates there will be before the VN is completed? Also, any rough idea the time-lag between updates? Me just being nosey

How many is not clear. The scope of the story is for the three months of summer (June, July, August). Through 0.10, June is basically done. Can't say there'd be 30, but who knows? Depends on a lot of stuff.

Time between updates changes due to my availability to work on it. My guess is that the 0.9 public release will be out in late July or August. The latest chapter, 0.10, will be released to supporters in late June or early July.

@cynist

Just downloaded 0.8.2p and it's missing a file whose absence makes the game unplayable.

I've sent the new links in to the uploaders. No clue why that didn't get caught earlier, except to say I'm a dumbass.
