I'm not talking about things like new game+ It's more like side bosses that only unlock after you beat the game and reload the save right before the final boss. Stuff like that always annoyed me. Once I'm done with a game, I'm done.

that's fair enough. Though I can't think of an example of that. Everything I can think of unlocks before the end but you can always go back and do it for completionist

Final Fantasy 13 had like most of their optional bosses locked off until you beat the game. I've seen several others like that but can't think of them off the top of my head.
