maybe in some minor way, but the game itself is your typical dull mmorpg grindfest and somehow the combat is worse than singleplayer elderscrolls

While you've been given an explanation by several people, the actual value of the bank is better understood with examples. We had this conversation a few days back, so I'll just link to my post from then. TLDR: Compound Interest is basically magic.
