Back in my day, we didn't have any of these fancy-schmancy computers or cell phones! We'd go outside and hit each other with sticks and rocks until one of us (usually temporarily) fell unconscious!
The time just after the extinction of the dinosaurs - there were no CD/DVD/BR disks or even floppy disks in computer magazines, but programs were printed and had to be typed by hand on the keyboard.

Funny thing is that's mostly textures bc devs don't waste time on compressing them anymore so some few ppl with 4k monitors can play without needing to download extra textures.
Just ONE trip to nexusmods to check for high quality but slightly compressed textures for Fallout 4, Cyberpunk or any other game will show you that you CAN have good (and sometimes even better than stock) textures at smaller sizes than the actual devs put out without costing performance either.
I need to bring this computer in for repairs. gonna need a whole system scrap and reinstall.
My question to you folks, how do I scrub all the data pertaining to my online activities? Talking about scrubbing all saves from games, internet history, and every seedy thing I've downloaded.
Legitimately the correct answer if data destruction is your goal.
If it's going in for a reinstall they are likely going to wipe it anyway. Delete browsing history and remove any files you don't want them to be able to see. You could ask them if they are going to wipe because you want to back up your files. There are other people here who are far wiser than I in this regard.
I caved and bought Oblivion, 3rd party key, of course 17% off was decent, at least. Probably won't play it until it goes on some sale significantly cheaper 2 years from now.

Are you all talking about Oblivion? What should I do,? I'm still playing Elden Ring, never played Onblivion. Should I switch to Oblivion? I'm an extremely slow player.
At my speed , I will be finished with Elden Ring in like ten years.
And I want to play other games, too. The new Indiana Jones, Baldur's gate, Cyberpunk... I like the AC series, but hate the fucking buy this sword or horse thing, so I've abandoned it. Would like, also, to try this Death Stranding or Wukong... Is there a way to play faster? Or should I just enjoy the ride? Am I gonna die a loser who wasn't even a good loser?
I am a huge proponent of "you paid for it, play it how you like." Play at the pace you enjoy. I am also very slow with my games. I read everything, try to do as many side activities as possible, explore, etc. Classic Oblivion was good but flawed, the new one looks like it has improved some of the larger pain points, *cough* leveling *cough*.
When it comes to switching, are you still enjoying Elden Ring? Burnt out? Really up to you, it's your free time.
Games like BG3 and Cyberpunk are big, looking at 40-100+ hours for a playthough depending on your playstyle. Granted, Oblivion can do the same. If you focus on the main quest then it's short, but if you do side quests, factions, and stuff then It'll last an exceptionally long time.
Sex in Oblivion Remastered? Short answer, no but maybe in the future.
Long answer: It runs on Unreal but appears to have a lot of the original files underneath the Unreal wrapper. So some classic mods are working. It takes a very long time to get a full sex mod up and running. So maybe one day, if modding for the game takes off.

Ghost of Tsushima is excellent, my friend said it was his game of the year when it dropped. I bought it on PS4, played the hell out of it. Got the PS5 version, because 'why not?' I think I never got the DLC for the PS4 version, can't remember why. Anyhow, the PS5 definitive version included it, I didn't transfer my save data, and Platinumed it twice. Got the PC version when it released, but haven't played it there.
Ryza 3, only if you played the first 2. I usually play the Atelier games in order, but I buy them all. I hadn't played a few of the more recent in the last couple years, but Ryza and her thighs made me play her games.
Calisto Protocol, pretty short, game is pretty easy, since you own it, it's worth a playthrough. The DLC helps the ending.
Resident Evil 7 brought back the OG playstyle from the old games, limited saves and item resources. Where you had a central area, break away into smaller areas, get items to open locked areas in the main area. Flaws being Stalker enemies. Solid game, fun DLC, Ethan Must Die!
RE4, assuming you mean the Remake, another good one, play 7 first, though.
Dying Light 2, had trouble getting into it, liked Dying Light 1 more, even liked Dead Island 2 more. DL1 DLC was awesome, looking for to The Beast.
The Deception Series, I remember playing the originals on PS1. Trapt was pretty good, 4 will get you about 40'ish hours. Always liked the gameplay in them.
Nioh is dope, the second is damn good. I actually like the Team Ninja games more than the typical Souls-Like stuff.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, love Romance or the Three Kingdoms; was a no-brainer since I liked Nioh, liked Nioh more, but still a good game. Check out Rise of the Ronin if it haven't, checks those boxes of having similar combat and an open-world, but not all of those Souls-Like downfalls.
Returnal, yes, if you like Rogue-lites, with a poppy, bullet-hell gameplay. Awesome game, funner with a friend if you have trouble progressing, co-op makes some of the Biomes easier.
Dead Space if Reboot, yes, play it. Not too long, a very good reboot, secret second ending. Shame it didn't do well enough number-wises on sells to get 2, which I liked more than the original.
If I had to pick one to play first Ghost of Tsushima, only if you like open-world games with a checklist style completion.
If you want one based on time to complete before moving onto the next, Dead Space or Callisto Protocol first.
