I think I remember him saying that working on this game sometimes puts him in a bad place and that is the main reason he takes breaks to work on Burned, so I agree that we can be optimistic that a long hiatus isn't necessarily a bad sign and he eventually comes back to this one.

Nope. Other than when he feels like it since he's doing it for free. Prob be a long while, as he also makes hebe/loli animations for the A T F site that he seems to be focusing on now.

It's definitely up there in my list, prob top 5. To be honest after seeing the strange direction Burned took I'm afraid to find out what the next update of this after a long hiatus will look like. Turning a family murder-suicide "ending" into a joke with T-rexes would be even stranger.

True, the last Burned update was too gimmicky for me as well.

But I don't think he would do the same with Malignant, it just would not fit at all. It's way darker than Burned has ever been.

If it took the route of Burned, I would be more than disappointed.
I know some people liked that funny haha route of nonsense Burned took but I'm there to jack off and a good story.

That's why Malignant is way more interesting. Does storytelling in a clever way.
But alas, it doesnt really look like the game is getting updated anytime soon. Plus over time people lose motivation and drive. I'd know, considering I have a graveyard of unfinished game mods that still wait for me lmao
