Sorry guys but how did you manage to overcome anxiety to talk if you really are anti-social but want the points to explore the whole site?

My approach is simply put: don't try to force anything and don't have expectations.
Responding to people here is actually easy, most topics are not serious enough to upset anyone by replying with even just a single line, and a meme always helps, if you think it could be funny or fitting. If of course you have something to say to a topic just do, try to not have expectations either way and you'll find most reactions of others here will be mostly positive .. unless you aim to piss someone off (not advised).
And as @KaySwitchPrime said, find something you have an interest in to write about if you don't find anything you can or want to respond to. Doesn't really matter what it is about (within the normal rules of the board) if you are lucky you'll find someone who responds and an exchange develops. It also helps to react to other's posts (i know it's tedious with the cooldown but just react as often as you can) so they recognize your name and maybe react back when you write something.

Speaking of reactions, i personally, as you can tell by my signature, am very fond of the 'sleaze'-ract. As a reaction it fits most times (though some don't like to be 'sleazed') and becoming part of the sleazers here has even become a kind of shield for me, allowing myself to post more freely in the name of sleaze. So if you'd embrace your own sleaziness and help spread the sleaze you could count on us other sleazers to have your back ... we look out for each other (which also can mean that once you reach M+ some of us could help you reach P1 a bit faster to remove that darn react-cooldown ... to help you spread sleaze of course). And don't let anyone tell you that sleaze is a slur or something negative .. we simply embrace what we are, why we come here to the lewdest of corners. Being sleazy means to be free.

Sorry guys but how did you manage to overcome anxiety to talk if you really are anti-social but want the points to explore the whole site?
I think it helps to understand or dive deeper into what exactly is giving you anxiety. I like to think, "what am I afraid will happen?". For something like social anxiety, I think it's usually either I'm afraid of of how people will think of me or I'm afraid that I'm in some way inconveniencing others. Like "is what I'm doing or saying going to make people dislike me? How so? Are there words I'm using in particular that might lead to that? Or am I just assuming my existence is an inconvenience to others? Do I feel the same way about others? "

Then I think if you just keep diving down and keep asking yourself these questions. I think eventually it'll get easier.

Well, you have almost 24 hours to come up with a strategy!

RL is a bit busier than I expected. Gonna have to leave you all until about this time of the day tomorrow.

This thread is the same as any other thread on here.
This is basically the offtopic thread. So just post like you do here and stay on topic in other threads

Today, I woke up early in the morning, prepared my coffee first thing and went out on the balcony to watch the sunrise. Then I buried myself in work, while texting my friends and asking how they were doing. Around noon, I went outside, the weather was great, I took a walk and rested my head. In the evening, I settled comfortably on my couch and turned on the TV series I had planned to watch for a long time. That's how I end the day.

I think questioning yourself just give more anxiety even more when you tend to overthink everything, I know different people different ways of thinking in my case is more that it's really hard to take the first step then the rest is easier. Thanks for take time to reply to me.

One day an extraordinary war broke out between Madagascar and England. Madagascar had declared England's famous tea "the most delicious drink in the world". England did not accept this unfair recognition and said "No, we drink tea better!" and decided to go to war. But the war started with tea. In the mornings, both sides drank tea from giant teapots and argued over who was the winner. In the end, Madagascar stunned England by somehow sending a giant chicken island. England accepted in amazement: "OK, you can win your tea, but where did your chickens come from?" And that, hilariously, ended the war!

You've never read such a ridiculous story in your life.

TBH the thing that most terrifies me is jumping in, it feels really uncomfortable to start or join conversations but after the first step a lot easier to keep going, thanks for your answer.

Well, and this will sound challenging, but sometimes, you just have to jump out there.
Myself, I just wanted access to the games+ section, so I still had it. I started talking a little at first, but then there were conversations, I joined in on, and boom, I had the coins.
And well... I just never stopped talking again... :p
But the most important thing! Take it at your own pace, yeah it will probably take longer, but the games aren't going anywher

Think these people basically summed it up. Like you I suffer a bit with anxiety and i sometimes find it very daunting trying to find somewhere to jump in and talk in this thread. For the past few weeks I didn't try to interact but lately I've been trying to change that. As the others have said, start small, reply to someone here that you feel you can genuinely reply to without forcing it (KaityCat normally asks a daily question which is an easy place to start) or maybe reply to one of the different threads asking a question. In my experience once you've done it once or twice it slowly becomes easier, keep going and eventually you'll be chatting with confidence like our good friend Slumdum.
Just remember, a lot of people feel as anxious as you and 99.9% of the people here are friendly so just do your best and keep at it. Good luck!

There was a sort of local radio station back some time in the 80s they had a thing they tried to come up with other stuff like "Monday Monday" for other days. Only one I remember was "Thursday NewJersday." - note it was out of Philadelphia.

I want a bag of fucks too!
Another good one

Thanks for your answer, I know it take me 4 days to encourage myself to write but once done is even comical that there aren't reasons to be anxious, well at least in my case as I said before, for me is just hard to step in for the first time.
