Well, as I am not really a gaming person, I don't have much opinions on either, though I heard a lot of positive reviews on Nier!

Sounds like a perfect cashier tbh. I have an old gentleman running an ethnic store I frequent. He is very sweet but constantly tries to start a long conversation - I once had to stay there for about 30 minutes after checkout... And I am like *internally* this yapping does not give me LC, can i go? Pls can I just go? Oh w/e.

We had our first rain since winter today and it was a proper storm. The sky was beautiful with lightning arcing overhead. My son and I climbed up on to the roof together and enjoyed the storm. He shares my love of the rain, big storms especially and it was nice to share a moment that wasn't video games or movies.

Honestly a bit jaded, Unc. While largely true in a lot of (if not the vast majority) of cases, there are plenty of people who rise up from little or nothing. My father's side of the family, including me, are living proof. Italian immigrants, poor for generations. Slowly but surely we've crawled out of that hole as a family and while we're far from "rich", I have enough money to take care of my parents, my wife, and my children - comfortably. While others around us who have had much more and some would easily call rich have lost it all, squandered it all or just stopped caring about money. Life is a constant game of leapfrog.
Then, as Slum replied to you, there are others who have risen to proper power from rags.
As far as the forum goes, this is all just fun. My goal is P5 and a million in the bank and once I get there I'll be satisfied with the little game of coins. The real wealth of this website is each one of you.
Same goes for my blood family. I could lose everything tomorrow and I'd still consider myself the richest man in the world because I'd still have them.
Oh no no no, none of that. I didn't share to spread sadness.
I shared because this little community is one of the few places I can share that story without having to lie about it and omit details, and doing that always makes me feel sick.
Don't go feeling bad for me. We've all got scars and what matters is that we keep going and grow.

Hm.. well, I was blessed with a diverse group friends growing up though I don't speak to most of them anymore (don't worry, no sad stories there - just people moving on and starting new lives) but I used to love spending time with my friends. We'd roam around the town until well after dark and it felt like going on an adventure every time.
I used to game with my little brother a lot when we were younger. The original Doom and Quake, then later a LOT of Rainbow Six. We even got so good together that we joined up with a clan and made it into a few tournaments before e-sports were a thing. Made a couple thousand dollars before the clan splintered and we lost interest.
Those two things are probably the fondest activities I can recall right now but I can't say I have a single favorite.
You don't need to have any words about it, Tleilax. They're my scars (some literal ones in this case) and they're mine to bear, not yours. Like I told Kaity, I didn't share for anyone to feel bad or sorry for me. I shared because I wanted to and this little community of ours is one of the few places I can do that honestly (and without judgement).
I'm glad I'm here too, and I'm also glad you're here Tleilax.
Well, I don't know if they're lucky, but they're definitely stuck with me so.. I'll take that as a win.

Well that's sad to hear, Baka.. but I'd rather you find enjoyment than linger around unhappily. Just know we enjoy having you around and I'm still impressed with how quickly your gif edits have improved. I noticed the face transition in the one you used first here and it made me laugh. <3
