Evening, you beautiful degenerates. Hope you all had a good day today.

We had our first rain since winter today and it was a proper storm. The sky was beautiful with lightning arcing overhead. My son and I climbed up on to the roof together and enjoyed the storm. He shares my love of the rain, big storms especially and it was nice to share a moment that wasn't video games or movies.

Today's backreading has been completed and it's time for replies:

The problem with that is that it is a continuously moving goal -- But the time you reach it the high rollers already have twice as much. Rich today is rich tomorrow -- While the middle class may accumulate larger sums of money -- they will never catch up and be among the rich.

Honestly a bit jaded, Unc. While largely true in a lot of (if not the vast majority) of cases, there are plenty of people who rise up from little or nothing. My father's side of the family, including me, are living proof. Italian immigrants, poor for generations. Slowly but surely we've crawled out of that hole as a family and while we're far from "rich", I have enough money to take care of my parents, my wife, and my children - comfortably. While others around us who have had much more and some would easily call rich have lost it all, squandered it all or just stopped caring about money. Life is a constant game of leapfrog.

Then, as Slum replied to you, there are others who have risen to proper power from rags.

As far as the forum goes, this is all just fun. My goal is P5 and a million in the bank and once I get there I'll be satisfied with the little game of coins. The real wealth of this website is each one of you.

Same goes for my blood family. I could lose everything tomorrow and I'd still consider myself the richest man in the world because I'd still have them.

Thanks for passing the message from your wife It's good to hear from her

Old Raven is a great name.

Oh my God Lazarus..... I had no idea and I'm so sorry. -all my hugs- there's not many things in this world I really consider evil, but being happy at the death of an innocent is one of them. I can't even imagine your loss, but please know I'm feeling for you. and Praying you all of you.

Oh no no no, none of that. I didn't share to spread sadness.

I shared because this little community is one of the few places I can share that story without having to lie about it and omit details, and doing that always makes me feel sick.

Don't go feeling bad for me. We've all got scars and what matters is that we keep going and grow.

So, no apologies.

..I will still take that hug though, Kitten.

who's ready for the......

Spoiler: Kitty question of the Day!!!!!

What was your favorite activity when you were a kid?

Hm.. well, I was blessed with a diverse group friends growing up though I don't speak to most of them anymore (don't worry, no sad stories there - just people moving on and starting new lives) but I used to love spending time with my friends. We'd roam around the town until well after dark and it felt like going on an adventure every time.

I used to game with my little brother a lot when we were younger. The original Doom and Quake, then later a LOT of Rainbow Six. We even got so good together that we joined up with a clan and made it into a few tournaments before e-sports were a thing. Made a couple thousand dollars before the clan splintered and we lost interest.

Those two things are probably the fondest activities I can recall right now but I can't say I have a single favorite.

---

I don't have words for some of the stuff you've been through. I'm glad you're here though.

You don't need to have any words about it, Tleilax. They're my scars (some literal ones in this case) and they're mine to bear, not yours. Like I told Kaity, I didn't share for anyone to feel bad or sorry for me. I shared because I wanted to and this little community of ours is one of the few places I can do that honestly (and without judgement).

I'm glad I'm here too, and I'm also glad you're here Tleilax.

I admire your dedication, as always, Lazarus! That’s an incredibly heavy thing to carry, and I appreciate you sharing it.

Your family is a very lucky one to have you in it!

Well, I don't know if they're lucky, but they're definitely stuck with me so.. I'll take that as a win.

You're stuck with me too, Baka. Even if you end up only stopping by every few days, weeks or months.

I'll be watching and waiting to welcome you back with open arms.

---

If it was just as simple as 'dropping it' .. i wish.
Sorry but i am more with Spike on this one:

Have to agree with Jorund on his answer, Kitten.

Wounds may heal, but some scars don't fade.

Well everyone I have to go for now sadly

I don't know if I'll be back before monday. there's a slim chance but most likely not.

so be nice to each other

Spoiler: and remember

no matter how alone you feel, we're all together here on LC so share the love!!!

Was hoping to catch you online before Monday but I'll be looking forward to then.

Take care of yourself until then, Kitten.

Spoiler: Some Kitty Titty for my Smitten Kitten

I don't know why but (EDT: TODAY, I meant today!!) I don't get much gratification from... well anything. Including lurking here, as I don't see much openings to engage.

I will stick around for... maybe 30 minutes on the off-chance something changes but if not - have a good Friday everyone. And thanks @Evil Surgeon for fixing my exit gift!

Well that's sad to hear, Baka.. but I'd rather you find enjoyment than linger around unhappily. Just know we enjoy having you around and I'm still impressed with how quickly your gif edits have improved. I noticed the face transition in the one you used first here and it made me laugh. <3

---

It's you guys that makes it worth coming here all the time for me!
So thank you!

---

I'll be taking my leave for today! (A lot of events on my gacha games and not enough time on the day...)
Have a nice day/night!

I don't think I got enough of an specific theme, so here you go a few of my favorites of the day!

Damnit, why do I keep missing when my two favorite kittens are online?!

Damn work..

I look forward to catching you online properly again, Liz.

Until then, take care. I'll miss you.

Not quite I'm afraid, I'm talking about the mobile games, Union X and Dark Road. I mean, technically 2.8 has Back Cover, which is essentially a condensed bit of Union X in a movie form, explaining the lore of the Apprentices of the Master of Masters and the infighting that lead to the downfall and fracturing of the world into several disparate pieces, but that's like a tiny part of the story of Union X and a lot of very important pieces of lore for kingdom hearts is locked away in a now unplayable mobile game. Same with Dark Road which is in a similar position, being a sequel to said game and being about Xehanort's youth and how he grew into the man who'd become the overarching villain of the series. Lots of important lore and story .. stuck in a mobile game that's not really playable.

oh I didn't know about them, thanks for letting me know

Also, 358/2 Days and Re:Coded aren't ported either, it's just that 1.5+2.5 Remix has their cutscenes because Square enix didn't want to bother porting the ds games over to PlayStation then PC like they did with the 3ds game Dream Drop Distance in 2.8. Having an actual port/remaster for Days and Re:Coded would be spectacular because Days has a wonderful story and Re:Coded has a genuinely brilliant leveling/command deck system from the team behind Birth By Sleep that I wish got more respect than it has in the fandom.

ah lame, I didn't realise it was just the cutscenes
358/2 days was a lot of fun

Good night y'all. And fist comment in the last hour.

Spoiler: fist comment?

Good to see you Lucid, hate timezones, we don't talk enough!

Spoiler: BGR

probably playing games with my friends

I think it's all been ported

and a reverse bunnysuit Moika

Hi bluegreenred!
Damn, Kingdom Hearts games are still that expensive?

Cute Moika!

Spoiler: Castell

Hey there spawns of hell, harsh day at work today, didn't even had time to backread properly until a little while ago but here we go.

Spawns of hell?
No... NOOOOO!
The SlumRog is here...

Good to see you Castell!

What kind of games do you prefer?

Ehh, I'm open to most games, there are some genres I don't mess with like sports games.
But, I'm usually up to try most things.

Some of my favorite genres though.
Survival Horror games (Resident Evil)
Automation games (Satisfactory)
Survival games (Ark Survival Evolved)

That's just a little snippet.

Spoiler: Oberon

They're visual novels, but they're puzzle escape room games, not murder mystery. The Nonary games are more Puzzle Escape Room: Jigsaw edition where a bunch of strangers get trapped in a death game where they have to solve puzzles to escape alive, and Danganronpa is Convoluted Highschool Ace Attorney Among Us

Thanks for clearing it up Oberon!
So there is a difference between them.

Spoiler: Stoic

Would like to see "Latest Updated" brought back to the sort by option brought back in the game sections.
To any of the mods that see this.

Hi stoic, good to see you!

I can't promise anything, but know, that you have at least been seen by me.
But as far as I know, the games section auto sorts by last reply.

Also you might wanna check this thread, don't know if it anwers your question.
