It's bedtime for me too.
Good night, everyone.

Strangely, the bed is calling me

ah the ol birthright lottery. so much of your life is decided just by where you are born and how well of your parents are. kinda sad really.

The money in your parents' bank account is also very important. After all, if I was the great-grandson of a British Birmingham tycoon who made his money from horse racing 7-8-9 generations ago, I would probably be swimming in money right now. But unfortunately I was born in a much more dire situation.

Don't hey me, @bakajanai!! Lord Sleaze-a-lot knew what he was doing when he posted that to me! He knows the rules!

Beware the irritated pigs , At worst they will be victorious -- at best - no bacon.

I hope you're in an ok position now. at the very least able to take care of yourself.

Sorry to hear that about your loss Lazarus, I have a similar situation now. The Saturday incident was a near death of one of our engineers, he is now in ICU but chances are not great as of the latest prognosis. There is a lot of going on that takes my time now too. I am just glad I can use this space here to blow some of the build-up steam off.

Jesus. Fortunately in my case I don't mean "lost" that way. I hope your coworker ends up okay.

Otherwise God and I need to have a chat..

Who needs hard work when we can just rob @mime 5027 times?

How coincidental that you posted that on the exact corresponding page number

Uhh..

I'd never purposely add the page number to any reply of mine. That's a fine, and or imprisonment up to 5031 days!

As you wish. Here's one about my internet speed:

Pages crawl and stall,
Spinning wheel in endless dance,
Patience fades away.

Unfortunately - that breaks haiku rules Specifically the 5 7 5 rule. 3 lines of usually un-rhymed words totaling 17 syllables. The syllable pattern is: 5 on first line, 7 in second line, 5 in the last line.

example -- about becoming an adult

I don't understand
They said I would understand
Someone pass the gin.

Yeah, I get that. At this point, I’ve learned to separate emotions from the job. It’s not that I don’t care, but dwelling on the tragedy doesn’t help - it’s about figuring out what went wrong and making sure it doesn’t happen again.

Well, it sounds a but cold hearted now that I read it again. But it is a very health hazardous environment that hundreds of people work in everyday. I issued a halt on all work until we can figure out the complete timeline. I do hope that it wasn't a goddamn shortcut we previously discussed, even though it would be my oversight then.

[Tleilax]

I have finally escaped the dreaded work. A free rest of the day for me so I can chill.

Spoiler: Actual Kitty Question of the day!!!!!

what was your first pet?

An orange tabby! When I was a kid he would hide under my bed when I had to go to bed. My parents would have to go under there for several minutes trying to grab a wriggly kitten. I would laugh so hard at it. I think he would have slept with me if he could have.

But, then it ends up just like the end of that episode where Burgess Meredith's glasses break.. and he can't see to read all those books.

I'm not in a position to worry right now, but we don't know what tomorrow will bring. I feed my cat and go to work.
