Just noticed it happens when there isn't enough space for them to appear. If you scroll until the whole menu can appear, it works again

My internship was my last year in college and paid $11/hour, which translates to a base of $22,880 working full time. That was 1989, when starting salaries for my field in the "Big 8" international accounting firms ranged from about $21K-$28K (the higher number was at a firm that "didn't pay overtime or comp time" - the others all did). My starting salary later that year was $26,500, and I was one of the top five highest paid recruits from my University that year in that field - with comp time I was at about $30K. Doesn't sound like much today, but back then, I was considered to be doing well. So, not ALL internships are slavery.
