I hate when the protagonists in AVNs are unavoidably dumb. Or act like douchebags. Or pullout rather than creampie. Player should be able to choose their behavior more.

For me it depends:
In horror movies? I feel like it brings the movie down
In a comedy-action movie? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
In a romance story-game? Well... It makes me think "Holy shit, I hate them because they miss a lot of obvious things, but I'm also a dumb idiot when it comes to romance/love, so I can relate..."

I don't hate every dumb protagonist. Naruto and Goku (DBZ version, Super made him retarded) are fine, Luffy annoys me to no end
