-Boring sandbox
-Endless dialog with little to no meaning
-Really bad english

That's probably my top 3 reasons to quit any game

Bad english ruins the immersion for me.
A bad sentence structure does it too. It jumps my brain for a loop and then I have to figure out the flaw. I make MANY of those mistakes myself because Im not native english speaking, but that might be why it annoys me.

When exposition becomes dull and has no effect on character or storyline. In essence filler dialogue. Its usually an attempt on humanizing a character, but often it just becomes flat out boring.
Its usually the explain every tree branch style of writing, like Tolkien. Loved the story, really hated reading the books.

-A forced LI, the "girlfriend" that you never get to know and don't care about, i hate when devs do this,
-Also when devs talk to you in game, explaining things, making jokes breaking the 4th wall or have an alter-ego that does those things.
-Shitty writing like every women wants your dick out of nowhere, everything needs a little of effort to get or it get's boring quickly
-Anime art, or cheap AI art
-Shitty lighting in renders using HDRI or basic lights for everything, use colorful lights, warm and cold, also lights cast shadows which can also be used
-Honey select or Koikatsu games

Absolutely hate this. Loved the game Acting Lessons. Loved Melissa. She's my girl. But no matter how much you ignore or deny the main girl (I can't even remember her name) you still have to have a relationship with her. You still have to take her on dates. Never actually made me quit the game, but I found it so annoying.

Yeah, the magic dick. Hate that too. Especially if the story is in a modern day real life setting, it breaks immersion. Now there is a game (My Best Deal) where the MC makes a deal with a love/lust goddess and can cause women to have a lustful desire for him. It makes more sense in this game than others. Plus, he still has to work his relationship with some of the women.

Bait and switch when the dev changes direction.... no go back... stop... i want... fuck... nooooo

Rape and violence that are not part of background stories, (bar fights and zombie killing not included) and death of main characters. I have to agree with others that poor writing can end it for me also, If it's really bad.

I agree with many of the posts here.
1)typo's i am fine with as long as they aren't prevalant everywhere. But real bad prose where it starts confusing you on what they are saying? Better have some really good images (kinda like the crazy/hot girl scale).
2) Too many Li's start getting to me too. when you just keep throwing them on again and again to the point the older ones start getting completley ignored and then you just stop caring. if the images are good i might just set my setting to skip lal text and go through.. or just delete. either way I am done with the story.
3) Storyline take a 90 degree turn and just keeps trucking or maybe even more turns. have a nice incest game suddenly 90% of the story is about some brand new LI that derails everything and story is all about legal issues helping new LI.. meh.. no thanks.
4) i know kinks were mentioned as not the point of the thread buuut... yeah if your tracking a game in dev.. and suddenly one of the kinks i hate shows up.. thats a delete.

When the heroine becomes way too easy, there's a difference when you win tthe trust of the female MC and slowly make her fall in love/corrupt her into sex, vs a ''Oh! we brushed shoulders!! FUCK ME SILLY!!'' Yeah I enjoy it for a little bit but then I feel that I already reached the end and just prefer not to keep playing anymore

I'm not talking about NTR or gay or some fetish thing.

I'm talking about things like the below for me:

* Really, really, really bad writing. This is most noticeable when guys start writing a story like they think they're Quentin Tarantino. "You're a Mafia kingpin who needs to kill the other Mafia guy. Also you fuck your own kids." There are good examples of this stuff, like the stuff in The Guardian and similar games, but there's also a LOT of really bad ones out there where people just think "hey, I like porn, I like Guy Ritchie movies, what if I could just write a story like that?"

* Nothing happening. Just...nothing happens. At all. Ever. Long, elaborate interpersonal relationship stuff and discussions, but then...nothing. Especially noticeable when paired with the first one - bad writing - because there's nothing worse than listen to a dev talk to themselves through two characters for 5,000 words and then have nothing happen.

* Terrible humor. It's one thing if it's supposed to be a bad joke, that's fine. But humor is HARD to do well, and when you try and make something legitimately funny but fall short, it's painful.

* Characters singing & dancing to songs with the lyrics written out. It's kinda cringe. This is especially bad when a character is into music that they would not legitimately be into. Like "oh you're a 17 year old Korean girl from Portland? Surely you sing along to Def Leppard songs in the car. You're a balding 60 year old white banker? Your karaoke song is Kendrick Lamar, of course." It's just....it's painful.
The first two, I don't expect AV games to be funny, If they are, that's great, but often the jokes aren't great. Really the only expectation I have of them is good renders, don't give me bad porn graphics along with a shitty story and convoluted gameplay.
I'll only come back to the game if it's got a good story, though.

In addition to what other said, really bad mini games that are pointless and designed just to pad the game.

-A forced LI, the "girlfriend" that you never get to know and don't care about, i hate when devs do this,
-Also when devs talk to you in game, explaining things, making jokes breaking the 4th wall or have an alter-ego that does those things.

I also hate the forced girlfriend that happens in games. Kinda in that same vein, I don't like unavoidable sex scenes too. Too much railroading of the story.

I generally will tolerate some annoying parts if I like the rest, but if it gets too much all together then I've dropped a number of games. Though there are also games that I can't point to what made me drop them, sometimes just overall meh, but also sometimes they don't vibe with me even though I like all the parts.
One of the ones I'm most likely to skip a game over is names. It feels stupid to me, but I don't like if the characters have names of people I know. It just ruins it for me for some reason.
I also really don't like smoking. It really turns me off. I might be able to get over a little bit or one character if I like the rest. But I just find it a major turn off.

Other things annoy me, but not necessarily to the point of dropping a game on their own.
- Overall I prefer when the games take themselves at least somewhat seriously and don't just go all absurd. I prefer them to be internally consistent.
- I don't like when games get all porn-punny with things (like names of places and such). It just seems stupid to me and I don't find it funny.
- Having every woman you meet become a Love Interest is also annoying. It just makes it seem weird, like the world is empty. Or that there is no effort because anyone you see will inevitably become an LI.
- Fake choice and obviously preferred routes. I know that the devs have limited resources so the have to make compromises on how different branching paths can be. But I really dislike when one path is obviously the canon route and the other is just a cut-down version - often with obviously repurposed scenes that don't really make sense in that route because the dev wanted to reuse as many images as possible. It's especially annoying when your preferred route is the cut-down one. Especially since there are some games that do it well and have significantly branching paths with different scenes that were made for each route.

Unfortunately, when there are LGBT issues, it's not that I'm homophobic, but it just doesn't interest me.
