Haven't seen Frieren, but perhaps Black Clover if you're good with more Shonen tropes.

Frieren is pretty great. It's very comfy, and looks gorgeous constantly.

Any good Anime out there that does magic effects as good as Frieren?

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime surprisingly has some really good battle effects in it, especially that crunchy audio that hits just right for big attacks and stuff.
Also Fire Force is great for the action sequences, and has a absolute banger opening song called

Part of it depends on what would you like to see apart from the magic: A Shonen, an Slice of Life, an "obviously the protagonist is op and everyone loves him" harem anime, etc

Haven't seen Frieren, but perhaps Black Clover if you're good with more Shonen tropes.

But as Hexborn said here, I would say Black Clover would be a bit similar in the "magic" aspect

Reincarnated as a Slime is one of my favorite isekai. And no, it's not just because the protagonist is a slime femboy.
