In your opinion what is the best visual novel on this site and why do you think it's the best.

Can't say what's the best since I haven't played them all, but of the ones I have I probably have to say Desert Stalker.

I think there is no single best visual novel. There are a number of outstanding visual novels that can't be ranked on objective criteria. However, if you divide the wide field of adult visual novels into narrow sub-genres, then I think it's possible to pick out the single best one in many of these genres. As there is no clear demarcation between pure visual novels and sandbox-style games, I am also including some that fall more on the sandbox side. (Of course, to be the best in the genre they must have sandbox mechanics that don't suck too much.) I am not including Game+ because I haven't 'bought' Members+ yet. (Not sure if it would be appropriate outside Forum+ anyway.)

I agree that there is no single best visual novel because it all comes down to personal preferences after all. That said, my personal number one is Eternum, and for anime-style - Goddesses' Whim.

I think one my favs of all times are 'Cosy Cafe' and 'Maids and Maidens'. I'm a sucker for nice cosy stories.
Also, they're both harem stories, which is a plus in my books.

Midlife Crisis is also really good but got abandoned, sadly.

Game: Couples
He has no options that harm him, I like those characters. Everyone's taste.
If it says game with several options it would be Motherless

I have been playing Keepers and it seems like a nice adventure though it is female protagonist

I have to go with Cozy Caffe and New years day and the prequel Christmas day

Like posted here it is too vague a question. I like this response even tho I did post some of my favorites

Yeah. I could have done the same, but I have noticed that my current favorite depends strongly on what I played last. I kind of agree with those who say Eternum is the best. It's a pretty widespread opinion. But then it's not complete yet and it doesn't have a lot of sex in it. And also, when I think of Cosy Cafe or My Bully is my Lover or even Harem Hotel, I realize that these are extremely strong on romance and other positive emotions that are present but in Eternum but much less so.

The good thing is, we don't have to decide. We can play them all!

To me the best VNs are those that make me want to see more. Burned, Malignant and the Prologue of Dire Desires are just 3 of them.

Once in a Lifetime

There are a few games that I think have even greater potential (including Eternum from the same author), but this one is completed.
