Came across a thread where I saw a lot of fellow "OG" gamers (I am from the Atari era). Curious what are your most favorite / memorable games of all time.

Here are some of mine in no particular order (I can't rank them and I am sure I will leave at least a dozen out):

The ones that are eternally in my mind are the Castlevania and Megaman series. Especially from the SNES and PS1 eras. For something more recent to enter the hall of fame I would put in BG3 and Nier Automata.

Oh yeah, HoMM III was also my favorite of the series and I still sometimes watch youtube videos of the game and grimace over how the player can't optimize strategies and battles.. Half life was also the GOAT for the visceral experience, feeling like you are actually in the game. I also enjoyed many of the others you mentioned (MK, GTA, CS, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem) but personally not so much the others. You are a man of good taste!

Since you mentioned Duke Nukem, have you had the chance to play Serious Sam? It was another of my top shooter games.

Quake (1 or 2?) was my first ever game to multiplayer in via cable connection. It broke our minds that we would be in the same map together fighting against each other.

Yes, Serious Sam First Encounter and Second Encounter were awesome. 2,3, and 4 were bad. When I was saying Quake I was thinking about all of them but especially Arena.

Fallout 2 was great but my pick would be black, it had graphics that drove me crazy in my old broken ps2
