Wait, porn games have plots?

Mist is probably one of the few that ever grabbed me and kept me interested for more than a day.

• Lust Academy
• Maids and Maidens
• My Bully is my Lover
• Once in a Lifetime
• Pale Carnations
• Ripples
• Waifu Academy

Harem Hotel would also be on the list if it wasn't a sandbox. That New Teacher and Wild Cats would be on the list if they weren't relatively new and short.

I played Once in a a Lifetime and I liked the in depth aspect of it. I downloaded Ripples but didn't get past the first couple scenes just because I got busy. But I'll give your recommendations a try, thank you

Eternum has a pretty solid story, it's consistent, has good pacing and it doesn't stretch out the story so they can cram more sex in it (although there is quite a bit of it).

I have seen Eternum mentioned here and there at other times but never really gave it a shot. I'll try it out, thank you!

Nice! It's a good game and the characters all have very different personalities. It's very well made and it genuinely grabbed me with its plot. Hope you enjoy it!

Haha yeah but that is more a necessity to even be able to understand the complex universe where all the BHG's are set in. RWP gave some answers but I'm still not sure about many things that took place in SWP and why. At some point you just give up and focus on the lewd part instead.

Another game I'd like to add personally is Artemis, fantastic story overall that I recommend to anyone who wants to be immersed for a few hours but it's a lot of reading.

Pale Carnations - Serious Story with a well written dialogues and awesome sex scenes
Corporate Culture - Very unique story with COMPELX dialogues but with few sex scenes, doesn't get much recognition as it should

Where It All Began and Summer's Gone - Both have potential but they are in development hell because dev is making 2 games at the same time and likes to make excuses about his taxes and workstations for rendering..

My list above was unreasonably long, but now I found a relatively obscure game that needs to be added: AlwaysFan. It has some similarities with Pale Carnations and was started after it, but is already completed. A former classmate of the MC, a beautiful albino, moves in with him out of necessity and becomes an OnlyFans AlwaysFan girl with the MC as her photographer. This VN has even more choices than Pale Carnation, ranging from romantic couple love via a consensual harem all the way to exploitative pimping. And as with Pale Carnations, a thriller is part of the story, in this case concerning abductions of AlwaysFan girls.

Also the recent new installment of Love by the Water reminds me that it should also be on the list. It's borderline because of its relatively short length, but even the previous version 0.3 was significantly longer than the version number suggests. (At the end of 0.3 there was a crisis. My recommendation is based on the assumption that the quality of the plot stays the same.)

By the way, I strongly suspect that Mist would also be on my list if had got around to playing it. I am postponing this only because the subject doesn't really appeal to me.
