I belive that filmikng a real porn actors to put into the game could be an excelent idea.
But using alredy existed porn and build game around that would not give so good effect.

Fully agree, if it was not done for the game specifically it probably won't be a good fit with the story (and there is the risk the story has been made to fit the images instead and be less interesting)

The point is that it's only done by people who don't know how to illustrate porn games probably, or who don't care and just want to do it the easiest way possible. Which is scraping more or less random images off the Internet.

It would be possible to make good games with real porn, but that would be hard and to my knowledge ha never been done.

• One way would be to find high quality image series that fit together, license them (because when you use entire series you can probably not get away without doing it), and build a good plot around them.
• Another way of doing it would be to create a very generic porn game, little more than a menu for playing slideshows mixed with videos in a way friendly to one-handed operation, and make it easy for people to plug their own porn stashes into this.

I don't really like it. Especially if they splice different characters and scenes to tell the story. It takes me out of the story.

I view the "real porn" games as a vital stepping stone for devs.
It's a format that allows them to mostly make a text game
and is basically the easiest to code
good practice for them.

There have been a handful that tried to do it with cartoons
iirc there was a fairly recent cardcaptor one.
but the disparity between different images of the same character when you are just stealing pictures off the internet
tends to lead to them not doing as well.

Every so often I'll check a few of them out, sometimes they can be pretty good if they get a good plot going.

A few reasons I could see.
1. there wasn't any AI before so they used what they had
2. They are a real fan of the porn videos and think they the videos will fit their game. this is really the only case where it could be decent since you'd need to watch a lot of porn to find scenarios that fit your game. That is of course if you didn't just make the game the plot of the porn video.
TBH, the first time I saw a real porn game I thought they made the porn for the game, I didn't play that game so I can't really say if it was the case though.

I agree. When I see photos of some porn actors, it immediately hits the realism of the game. On the other hand, when a character has been specially immersed in a 3D environment and exposed specifically for this dialogue, everything immediately falls into place.

I loooove when my girlfriend in the game wears 5 different outfits throughout the course of a scene and looks completely different from one image to the next. my absolute favorite. /s

Real porn in games just doesn't work for me, but I see why people do it. For a beginner developer, it is daunting to need to know how to program, draw art, story write, etc. Those are tasks that don't have a lot of overlap with each other, so being good at all of them is hard. People can get into making porn games easily if they can just write a story in a text-based HTML game, and not have to worry about the other facets of game design. It's a shortcut that turns many people off.

Only time i really notice it is when dev's use it in background's like on TV's or computer screens. Oh, and the occasional sound clips...

Same, I never clicked on the game to see what it was about. I always figured the story must be well put together because otherwise, I don’t see the point.

It's pretty much just to speed up development if you can't draw or don't know someone who can and don't want to pay someone to do it for you.
