Looked around and couldn't find an answer. Why no points for giving star reviews for threads or games? I've given a few games my star rating and a short message on the game and noticed no points were given. Same, with just starts, on some of the more interesting threads. If this has been answered delete this post and DM me with the post - I can't find it. It just seems weird to me that a site based on participation that not all participation is rewarded. Even 1 point - limit 5 per day - would be fine. Unless it's easy to game or there's some programing reason behind it.

To avoid spam reviews.
You should review a game because you have something to say about it, not because you want coins.

The uncirculated rank was removed and he needs to repay those who bought it. This will be send to them.

Yes, many find them useful.
I didn't permanently remove it, I may do something with it,

As for why I have so much, when someone buys anything from shop it goes to me

Does anyone read them? lol

I definitely do read reviews, on here or on other pages. Most games don't have enough reviews to make the star rating meaningful (as 1-star reviews because someone didn't like the tags are far too common), so I find that reading the reviews is quite useful in getting an idea of a game's state and quality, without spending the time downloading and playing through it.

Reviewed a game recently. Noticed I didn't get any LC but then thought about it for a minute, realised how badly that could be abused.

Better quality reviews, which is better for all of us here.

I had exactly the same experience. It's good that we don't get LC for reviews.
On the other hand, some people may write a comment about the game instead of writing a review, because they somehow feel that any activity on this site that does not give them LC is wasted, whereas on other sites without such a system they might review without thinking about something like that. This might be one of the reasons why there are relatively few reviews here. But even if that's the case, there is probably nothing one can do.

I guess I can see that. It would mean that game's are more important than any other interaction on the site according to the banking system. Since you could say the same for most posts which should in theory be answered because you think you have something to contribute to the conversation.

Game threads are much stricter with spamy posts too, those that count as faming posts, like a simple "good game" or "I'll try it later", basically every meaningless post.
There are tons that get deleted each day and users can get fined for that.

You do get points if people like your review, afaik, so it is still worthwhile to write them. Just make sure they're actually comprehensible and useful.

The more effort you put into your review, and it made someone pick up a game, maybe they'll come back and like your comment.

The fact that someone can easily receive coins just by interacting here Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot and also using the bank, there is no need to do it for reviews as well.

It's already been answered why to stop review spamming for points.

If you think otherwise I've got a bridge to sell you.

I'm sure it could be allowed but it just puts more work on the mods.

I'll tell you right away - I'm not interested in LC. I have enough of them.
I, as soon as I realized that creating detailed game reviews is meaningless (few people seem to be interested in them here) I use only F*95 for this work. There is feedback, and that means a lot, which, considering the format of the review (it's not a mediocre commentary, it's a full-fledged longread) is well worth it. I won't say about myself, but the game reviews there are very good, detailed, in-depth. And in the vast majority of cases they give an objective assessment of the project.

Yes, reviews can help someone decide of trying a game or not, but let's be honest, it's rare.
Secondly, lots of reviews aren't worth the time it takes to read them because lots of them are writen by people that drank the kool-aid.
No, it's not about personal preference or anything of the kind.

You can find reviews that was poetically about how great the writing is, so you download it and start playing and not only is it full of typo's, bad grammar, spelling mistakes but a story line that is ridiculously bad. For instance while just have been given a BJ by a girl, losing standing with her in the next scene because you gave her a hug and now are being called a creep for daring to touch her.

In other words, a well thought out review can help someone pick up a game but there are lots of occasions that you have to weed through lots of high praise ones that are based on nothing except for the fact that the one praising it like how a particular model looks. There are devs that make games with 1 particular model that gets reused a dozen times (only changing hairstyles and skin tone) with a 'story' line that makes absolutely no sense and their games get 4 stars while others have decent writing, character growth, diverse models, decent renders that including shadows and detailed backgrounds and that get slaughtered in the reviews because there is avoidable NTR and lots of people seem to hate it with a passion.

There for I for one can not only understand no coins for reviews but applaud it. If there were coins the reviews would even be less worthwhile.

I dont know about that ,I am new as well. Just try to be friendly and react with others ,you gotta gain some coins that way

You should review a game because you have something to say about it, not because you want coins.
But then people spam pointless thread and pointless replies.
Spamming to get something will always happens, there is no avoiding.
Reviews with a minimum word count should absolutely grant points.
Avoiding certain mechanics for fear of abuse means never improving at all.

I am ok with reviews not rewarding any coins. The coins should come from the reactions on your review. If people read it and find it valuable that is.
