Well, the dev, Deaufosse, has been last seen on the 1st of October :S ....
Dont know what happened to him, maybe he is just busy with RL. Maybe he quit.
Since he did it for free, noone can expect anything. He did update his other game, Burned, "last year" and told people that this would be next.
ETA : Early 2025 Jan or Feb.
But since he hast been online for quite some time....well :/

We'll get more when we get more. Just relax, play something else in the meantime. Good development takes time. And devs do have lives outside of making this stuff too that they aren't required to keep us all appraised of at all times.

BUT, yeah...he hasnt been online here for quite some time...or ANYWERE else....

Good god...i would prefer this game to be updated, instead of Burned, all day, every day. :/

Dev often goes dark online while they work on their games. we no where near the end of the time table for their update they mentioned so I would not worry. alot of devs that are doing this for free don't waste time on communication. doesn't matter to them if we hyped or impatient. when/if it comes out they will get just as much excitement, and just as much money (0) as they don't seem to be doing this for money.

I played both paths and I got the same fucked up ending where I am effectively told my fantasies make me an irredeemable slimeball who should kill himself. Is any new content going to make that ending avoidable? Cause

I mean I agree that the results of incest and molestation do lead to some dark consequences, whether or not it was "consensual", but from my own experiences when quite young, and from others' I have personally been told about, there is a path to the light. Fantasies on LC aside, I and they are not socially or sexually maladjusted people, at least not because of those experiences. Playing with other peoples penises when I was 5, since my parents luckily didn't freak out too much, did nothing to me at all. ("but you're playing a loli game" - trust me, they're not connected). Having an alcoholic and emotionally absent father hurt MUCH more than anything sexual that has ever happened to me. That part of MC's recent past could be at least as damaging as "jiggle time" or whatever it was called in the game.

While no one but the dev knows exactly what happens next, most assume that the whole death scene is probably nothing more than a brain-tumor-induced hallucination.

So well put together, very interesting plot and the animations were very good. The only real downsides were that you really don't have a lot of agency in the ending and some of the choices... well, they aren't really choices at all. The choices you do have are between a dark path and a less, but still dark, path. This game will probably disturb a lot of people, but with a name like Malignant what do you expect? I cannot remove a star for removing the MC's agency, because it's established both in game and in actual psychology that this could possibly happen in real life (and actually has to an extent). Bang on game, but some part of me thinks the dev has a bit of self hate going on.

I think I have. If it's the one with the sister that is burned and there's time traveling cock-blockers lol. It had less time put into the modeling too. I don' t think I finished it though. I'll have to download it again. The dev isn't right in the head but that can make for some interesting games!
